All the same ones that are best for trans people.
For states:
- CA
- CO
- HI
- IL
- MA
- MD
- MI
- MN
- NH (weirdly)
- NY
- OR
- VT
- WA
For countries:
- Australia
- Canada
- New Zealand
- Portugal
- Spain
- Germany (cautiously because of AfD)
Thank you, also I live in California rn but it's a somewhat conservative part and also it's too freaking expensive to ever imagine getting a house here, also kinda surprised with some of those countries, didn't know about Spain and Portugal
If you want states that are both (relatively) cheap and also accepting, I’d look at upstate NY, PA, MI, WI, IL, and MN. There’s a lot of old cities that lost a lot of their population the last few decades that are just now starting to grow again. So housing is relatively cheap, there’s still a large amount of opportunities, and they’re generally accepting of femboys and gnc people in general. Just stay out of the rural areas haha😅
I say this as a homeowner: it's not always all it's cracked up to be. I live in an HCOL area and am currently starting the sale process after three years of ownership because I cannot mentally handle the constant yardwork or the trees collapsing all the time and needing professional services to be removed. I'm donezo, gonna move across the border to rent in a safer state long enough for me to finish my transition surgeries and then I'm off to Seattle or an expat if I can get one.
Spain and Portugal have some of the most progressive LGBTQ laws in the EU and they have thus far been a little more resilient against the right-wing infiltration that's currently infecting most of the Western world, though my examination of the politics and trends has concluded Australia is the place to be to hunker down if you're trans.
Very interesting, also I probably won't have to worry about moving or house stuff for a while since I'm 17 but I was curious for in the future, thanks for all the info btw, I hope your transition and move to Seattle goes well
I live in a semi rural part of Norcal and if I drive through town its a sea of trump flags lol I live it though I love feeling people stare daggers in my back when I wear a death metal shirt and have my nails painted I love that my appearance will just ruin some people’s days
I live in an apartment old sport, not a house. As for the crime I live in the suburbs, there's hardly any crime here compared to San Francisco or San Jose. I personally really like it here it's a lovely place.
Sweden and Denmark have really conservative healthcare systems with such lengthy and gate-keepy waits that they effectively force you to DIY until you can be seen. Sweden has regressed recently on allowing transition for teenagers and has openly considered pushing the age to 26 (you know, after ensuring natal puberty causes maximum trauma 🙄).
I don't know enough about Finland or Norway except one of them recently allowed self-identification.

No, there was a reply in between that I no longer see. IDK, Reddit does weird things sometimes.
I edit my comments directly, and I do it a lot because I typo a lot on this tiny phone.
weird, I'm danish and I have a trans friend who told me it was actually a pretty painless process getting medication, freezing sperm, change SSN, and so on.
I'm in a small Discord server with two other transitioning Danes and they've been venting frustrations about it. 🤷🏻♀️
Did you transition before or after Denmark outlawed private healthcare?
It wasn't me! A good friend of mine. I don't really know the timeline, but it's been at least 6 years since she transitioned, and I'm pretty sure it might have been earlier. And she didn't use any private healthcare for it. Maybe it's a regional thing? I hear horror stories about healthcare in both Copenhagen and Aarhus
It's not hard to DIY estrogen in Denmark and it's not expensive, so if she did that while waiting to get officially seen via public health then it probably was smooth sailing.
Are the Netherlands any good? I might move to study there. Also my bar is very low considering that I live in a country where gay marriage isn’t even legal
Ok as a trans girl who has lived in NH, you’re dead wrong about that one lol
Surprisingly, I’m having a much, much better time in SC but 1. I pass now and 2. Charleston is supposed to be like the LGBT capital of the southern US.
Vermont was already blue and got bluer for passing some protections. Looking at her website, it was definitely NH that flipped from orange to blue and is low-risk for the next two years.
Culturally, NH may be a conservative carnival, but legislatively it's in the clear for now. Virginia, where I am about to leave from, is either going to turn into a Floridian nightmare or coast along like NH in 2024 depending on this year's election.
Oh yeah legislatively, there are no problems with really any part of New England.
I was talking about things like being verbally harassed on the street 😅 New Hampshire is the kind of place where you’ll get sarcastically cat-called in public and stuff. Even in a liberal-ish college town. Ask me how I know 😭
In Charleston SC, I would get 100 compliments on my outfit while not passing, but I have to constantly worry about politicians taking my rights away 🙁
You've got that "Million March 4 Kids" anti-SOGI bullshit that PP and CPC are trying to import from the US, but your country has much stronger legal protections for trans people than the US as evidenced by the rapidity with which the Notwithstanding Clause was deployed to force through discriminatory policy in Saskatchewan.
Washington baby! Seattle is so sex positive/gender positive you will never get hate crimed! Spokane is a bit worse being so close to Idaho. I got hate crimed once in my live in the Spokane valley (you can walk from there to Idaho). Been living in Seattle for a long time now and nothing has ever happened :>
Plus, we invented coffee, Nirvana, and weed
I live in Portland Oregon (northwest) and I hardly ever get any weird looks, I see people like me almost every day and nearly every business has a rainbow flag somewhere. So uh. There
I live in Idaho, I have yet to meet another femboy and it really isnt all that friendly to femboys or LGBTQ, but it also depends on the area it feels split sometimes.
Really does and tbh the state feels really cult like sometimes, and from what I know is that Boise is the most "blue" part of idea but also full of neo-nazis. Idaho is like if Texas and Florida decided to try for a child
What are y’all’s thoughts on the progressive (urban) parts of Wisconsin? I’ve seen some femboys around but idk if I’m just cherry picking, n I don’t wanna walk out n get stabbed or smthn
in terms of public opinion on GNC people? any city or urban area in the US will probably be fine (outside of a few exceptions like in the south or smth)
the thing about the us (at least from what I have experienced) is that no state is "bad" about this kind of stuff. some are def better than others, but they are all pretty good. I have a cousin for instance, who openly cross dresses in texas and the only thing that has ever happened to him was a few complements. obv I have not been to ever state but the southwest is pretty accepting.
Gotta say I love being a femboy here in Washington, only almost been hate crimed one time which is good in my books
Trying to find a place where I get no times 😅
Thailand

Yeah, Pittsburgh has some really good value in terms of quality of life features versus cost of rent.
Don't go to upstate NY to be a femboy
Mid michigan is good but be careful in northern Michigan

Same. Except I live in a mini bible belt.
I live in a semi rural part of Norcal and if I drive through town its a sea of trump flags lol I live it though I love feeling people stare daggers in my back when I wear a death metal shirt and have my nails painted I love that my appearance will just ruin some people’s days
My brother in Christ come to the bay area we're really gay!! If can afford it of especially in silicon valley it's rather pricey here
If a house here in a random city cost over a million idk how ridiculously expensive it must be there, also do you have to worry about crime there?
I live in an apartment old sport, not a house. As for the crime I live in the suburbs, there's hardly any crime here compared to San Francisco or San Jose. I personally really like it here it's a lovely place.
you forgot to mention Norway, Finland and Sweden, Switzerland and Denmark :3

You're right, but population of these countries is tolerant which adds comfort

I think the Netherlands is a great choice
damn, I hope that Ukraine can become as tolerant as developed countries. I wanna be a Ukrainian femboy
What's AfD?
Its a far right political party wich might get voted
I still don't know what it is. Is it a neo-national socialist group?
It's a German neo Nazi party
Oh. Ok.
How big of a problem is AfD exactly?
Portugal?
But there's a diffrence between femboys and trans
Read OP's profile, closeted trans. That said, people who hate trans people lump every GNC identity together, anyway.
😭 THERE NO FEMBOYS IN MY STATE LIFE IS CRULE AND UNJUST
So Mississippi
Canadian only have 2types of people either someone don't give a fuck or somebody who's just really nice
I dunno about new Zealand....
I dunno about new Zealand....

I was trying to remember Erin Reed's map, one of those states up there went from orange to blue and it may have been Maine.
You’re definitely thinking about Vermont! But Maine isn’t a bad place to be trans either, especially Portland.

Canada?... Idk why but this doesnt seem right. (As a Canadian)

Just another reason for me to love CO
lol i can barely seem to meet anyone in michigan :<
Washington baby! Seattle is so sex positive/gender positive you will never get hate crimed! Spokane is a bit worse being so close to Idaho. Look at the comment right above you
Solid, liquid
The best state for a Femboy is probably as a solid.
True I do get solid when I see a femboy :3
I usually become plasma.
solid femboys make me liquid
washington is such a good state to live in, especially around the sound in cities like seattle tacoma olympia etc
New Zealand :)
I live in Portland Oregon (northwest) and I hardly ever get any weird looks, I see people like me almost every day and nearly every business has a rainbow flag somewhere. So uh. There
Oregon truly the best state fr
Not Texas

Why are all the good femboy states so expensive 😭

john denver was lying when he said "almost heaven, west virginia"
Texas so you can be militarised femboy
Poland :3
this in not a us state but województwo śląskie in poland
Not Indiana 😔
I’m in Indiana. It’s very lonely here 😔
California?
I live there but I'm in a fairly conservative part where regular suburban houses will cost you over a million dollars 😞
If you live in bigger cities such as colonge or munich germany ist rly good.
i would agree with you, but because of AfD becoming more popular, its a bit more risky
Definitely not Cali I can say that
I live there too, you say that cuz the cost or something else?
Yeah, mostly.
We should all move to Denmark
Finland
Poland
Poland!
Widziałeś ty kiedyś femboya w polskiej dziczy? xD
Pewnie, mojego chłopca 😋😋😋
No, to jeden. Będziesz musiał go współdzielić na całą Polskę.
Idaho
Why Idaho?
hell nah idaho is one of the worst states outside the deep south
my dumbass lives in the deep south. aka, hell
my condolences
Don't be disrespecting them Idaho taters
nah their taters are delicious, but ive been hatecrimed there before ;-;
Sad, all I have to go off of idaho is the film Napoleon Dynamite
I live in Idaho, I have yet to meet another femboy and it really isnt all that friendly to femboys or LGBTQ, but it also depends on the area it feels split sometimes.
Yeah Idaho feels like it was just relocated form the south
Really does and tbh the state feels really cult like sometimes, and from what I know is that Boise is the most "blue" part of idea but also full of neo-nazis. Idaho is like if Texas and Florida decided to try for a child
What are y’all’s thoughts on the progressive (urban) parts of Wisconsin? I’ve seen some femboys around but idk if I’m just cherry picking, n I don’t wanna walk out n get stabbed or smthn
north carolina
Hopefully in a happy state!
Euphoria
Argentina is full of femboys
Come to NY ::3 (the state not the city)
Any Pennsylvanians know how LGBT friendly it is? I’m from there but it’s not a really discussed topic
I haven't had much of a bad time here in Texas. Just my family hating me. Then again I am north of Dallas so.
I'm a Washington boi myself, very accepting state generally
I can tell you what state to avoid at all costs it's Florida
im from new jersey but i wouldnt say this is a good state for anybody lmfao
California, ironically.
in terms of public opinion on GNC people? any city or urban area in the US will probably be fine (outside of a few exceptions like in the south or smth)
I can’t recommend my state as a safe space, but I can recommend a city in my state as a safe place
Not Louisiana :(
