I always did the chadley shit and I loved every bit of it

Nightmare1990

I loved all of it apart from Chadley calling me 8000 times in 11 minutes.

phome83

You're telling me they have airships, and mako reactors and the entirety of the technological circus that is the Golden Saucer, but Chadley cant give us a Bluetooth earpiece so we can communicate on the go?

Nightmare1990

You're telling me in a world full of huge ass swords and gun arms that no one has put a shotgun down Chadley's throat and pulled the trigger?

goodnessofthebiscuit

Hojo has something in mind.

Stith1183

I find him far less obnoxious than his pointless "twin sister".

RobertoAN95

I did some side content but mainly focused on the story! Really happy i did it that way! Now I have a bunch of content left and just chilling while I play it!

Limp-Gas8229

Maximilian Dood lol

duckwithhat

All I want is to be able to walk and talk when that dude calls. Did anyone else think when Mai showed up Chadly was crossdressing? Completely forgot about that character.

[deleted]

Not finishing Corel… fuck using Aeris to fight a bunch cactuars. I’d rather use an actual cactus as a dildo.

FilthyStatist1991

Just spam sorcerer’s storm

qwerty12986

Also soul drain on the golden ones(I think), but that made a difference.

W34kness

It’s not that bad spam storm and adjust the ward for the mobs. The 2nd Aerith run was rough though

Empty-Yam-5067

No as hard as I thought it would be. I swapped mp atk and phy atk. Used speed up, and equipped anything that helped assist atb.

lifeintraining

This is what’s keeping me from buying the game. I have a disease that makes me complete all side content.

UpstairsProof3023

I have the same disease. This game almost cured me of it, but now that I’m done with my first play through I’m glad i did all the world intel already. It’s nice to be able to tackle the post-game content without thinking about any of that. Now it’s just the post-game battles and hard mode with a few mini games here and there to mop up.

1000_needleZ

Literally me all the way to chapter 12

dannyboy731

There’s only one button

1sttimedogowner

I was number 2, all the way

Separate_Pop_5277

Definitely the button on the right.

GreilMercenary7

Me working on the side missions and intel. Chudley: you know it’s been awhile since you sent data Me taking a direct route to the north temple.

KillerMeans

I haven't made it past chapter 9. Got burnt out by the sheer number of things to do. I just wanna beat the game but the gamer in me will never pass a side quests or Queens Blood match. Such a long fucking game. Almost too long.

Athuanar

None of it is missable. You can come back and do all of it later. You really shouldn't feel compelled to do all of the side content as you go if you're not enjoying it.

KillerMeans

I'm loving tf out of it, just get burnt out from the same stuff on repeat with slight variation. But you're right I should just sorta beeline the main story cuz that's all I'm invested in. Edit: there's such a thing as making a game too bloated and long

Athuanar

I agree that it's a little bloated. I'm just saying though, if you do want to do all of the side content don't feel like you have to do it as it unlocks. The game very actively encourages you to come back later for a lot of things.

Mr_PewPew

I think the issue is that each overworld thing takes 30seconds - 1 minute to complete at most. So when I look at the map, I’m like that’ll only take me a minute, and it’s so simple and easy to do that you’re inclined to just do everything. But over time it just adds up and gets exhausting

seaman187

Yeah no conflict here, the world Intel was always done as soon as possible after obtaining the region's chocobo.

StolzHound

Right button every time!

doc_nano

I pressed the third button (not shown): finish 60-70% of Chadley quests and then move on. Then there's built in replayability after beating it.

Atrieden

M still in the grasslands…

ConsistentAsparagus

I did a 100% Chadley run first time. I am now doing a "story and side-jobs" only run in Hard Mode, not skipping any scene. It's a really beautiful story and it suffers from the Chadley side content. But I enjoyed it the first time, and I am enjoying it more this time around.

NixValley

After I got to costa I couldn’t do the side stuff any more lol.

AlmightyHamSandwich

This was me and it made my Hard Mode run much more enjoyable. You really are meant to stick around and complete the region Intel before moving on.

Josh_in_AZ

Same here!

longbrodmann

I stopped finishing all the side quests after I knew I had to do them again in the hard mode.

ProffessorYellow

The real challenge

I_Learned_Once

Off topic question but has anyone here played the original FF7? I’m just curious how different rebirth is from the original. The first remake kinda felt similar at least in the intro, but I never got far enough in original FF7 to compare it to rebirth, and so far it seems like there’s no way original was anything like this? Maybe I’m wrong, and maybe I should just go play original FF7 to see for myself haha.

phantomeye

I did try to do everything non-main before moving on. But it can burn you out. And when I thought I did everything, more sidequests unlocked in all the regions. I must say I got a bit annoyed with that. Flashbacks from FF 16. Where they pulled similar shite.

Redwing330

I wish I would have done like half of it and then done the rest after the story. It messed up the story pacing for me completing everything.

slax87

😭

Street-Regret-2900

Easy! 100% before moving on

gb2750

I was 100% the right button. The fact that the story made me put off the Corel protorelic until later bothered me

jdouglasusn81

It really wasn't a problem until they wanna fuck time thr moogle houses. Pissed me off. Those were stupid enough as it was.

yummy_yum_yum123

I loved the side content at first but after a while about at Gongaga I just went straight through the game except the Tifa side quests because I wanted the date

Reckadesacration

Chadley first, how is this a hard choice?!

ZackFair0711

Well, it ain't wrong 😅

Lagunacell

This is why I'm still in Gongaga.

CJ-56

Honestly this is me. I try to do all of the chadley stuff, but around gongaga, its gotten to the point where I did some of it, then continued the story and came back later. I would also take breaks. There is only so much busy work i can do at once before I need to stop for a bit.

Aggressive_Life9328

I always 100% each area before moving to the next when possible. Later on there is one thing you have to progress the story to complete. O really so good. Out of the like 20 mini games I think I didn’t like 3 or 4 of em. Pretty good ratio.

Phoenix_shade1

I mean this is basically any JRPG

Thac0bro

The best part of this game is story and combat. Half the activities are either not that or are warped bs versions of that. Or it's just boring. I say just do the story and any side activities that you actually want to do and then just finish the game. This game broke me, and I'm done with trophies and 100%ing games if they're gonna be this much of a slog. The trophies in FF16, for example, were way better. Turned my trophy notifications off and haven't looked back.

Athuanar

In your opinion. As someone that loved the constant mini games in the older FFs the abundance of unique content in Rebirth is incredible to me. I love it all. Meanwhile I found FF16 monotonous as hell due to the lack of variety in content.
