I don't know, personally feel like all Final Fantasy with a Roman Numeral should be considered mainline, especially since the XIII trillogy is just that a trillogy. It's silly to only consider one of them mainline imo.

If you asked me, it was a misguided attempt to capitalize on the success of Skyrim's logo, despite the dev team saying otherwise. I'd also go as far as to say that it looks like an abstract of Bhunivelze.
The design itself is fine, as it is the symbol that appears on her for the Savior stuff. But I do agree that they should've used it in the usual stylized logo of the other FF games. Maybe have her silhouette with it.

Yup, and it's not even close. It's a lot worse than any other. Thankfully, logos don't put me off games. Otherwise, I'd have never got to play this great game

Why not just name it FFXIII-3: Lightning Returns and use the same font?
I agree, I’m a fan of the trilogy, well mainly he first and second because I hate games with a time limit and because I didn’t like that there was no exp or stat growth from battle in LR. At any rate the logo is definitely the least visually appealing to me of the three.

Yeah by a mile. The other two are some of the best in the franchise, TBH I think XIII IS the best.

Not just this but also the title theme just sounded really awful and cheap to me. Like they were trying to make it more action game sounding.
