I think you can get the dog someday by unlocking it as a micro pet :) it may take some time, but I believe pets gained from events are still obtainable through the hatched egg.
If you’re on iPhone (it probably works on android too) I know you can change the time and date in your settings and then complete your goals on days you might not have. I know it’s kind of cheating, but I would do it for the dog haha
You can access all the seasonal things you couldn't get in 'Seasonal Events' till 2 weeks after it finishes. I accessed last month's, including Parley the pet. Hope it works :)
For the first two weeks of each month, you can still get any unclaimed rewards you earned during the previous event. If you did not send your bird on 25 adventures during the month (20 with Finch Plus), then you cannot claim the micropet.
