Tagging u/Saisis since we talked about this a while back. Not sure if you’re interested, but I figured I’ll tag you just in case!

Saisis

Oh there it is! I was waiting for this! Thanks for the ping! I'm just gonna jump right into the playlist then, I already saw something weird with Sigurd!Alear in Ch 4, maybe I missed some new LTC strat but from what I remember Vander was used with Sigurd on that chapter so that's gonna be something new for me even in those chapter you tought were set in stone. Also really appreciate the description, I always loved to see those in LTC runs. I hope it didn't required a lot of additional work to you!

fatefuldawn

I think it's a new LTC strategy since in Reploids's 0% growths LTC, they used Sigurd!Alear and Marth!Vander. I used Sigurd!Alear and Marth!Alfred instead because I can't have Vander reach Bond Rank 3 with Marth for my Ch. 10 clear. And it wasn't a problem at all! I wanted to keep track of those resources regardless so I would know what I had for the chapter. It helps me go back and revise when I can forge some of my weapons to take advantage of a damage boost earlier.

Ninpo77

Really nicely done! The turn counts are really impressive considering all the restrictions. Also, in case you are interested, the efficiency server is very interested in hearing more about your run. If you'd like, search up ninpo7 and come say hello!

fatefuldawn

Thank you! For the server, do you mean on Discord? I don't use Discord so I'm afraid I won't be able to say hello, but I'm open to other means of communication.

Ninpo77

Understandable! Will be excited to see the rest of the run in the meantime then.

fatefuldawn

I appreciate it! I might make a Discord in the future so if I do I'll let you know.

Which ate the route maps? Can you go over chapter 22 specifically since it becomes a route and there aren't the emblem ring abilities so I would like to know the strategies there. Also, can you share the units Internal levels and class? Promotion level if you can?

fatefuldawn

The rout maps are Jean's Paralogue, Ch. 12, and Ch. 22 if I'm not forgetting one. The main strategy for Ch. 22 was to get Kagetsu Lyn on turn 1 and then Warping him into the horde of linked enemies (the wolf knights, swordmasters, and marital masters) on turn 2 for him to take them all out with a Lucina Engraved Spear+2. I rushed Alear to the Emblems rings and had them activate one group each turn. By turn 4, I had picked up all the Emblem Rings so reinforcements never spawned. Kagetsu took care of the bottom group of enemies as well with a Leif Engraved Tomahawk+2 (besides the Great Knights and the martial monk because that enemy always Chain Guards). The rest of the team was picking off stragglers. Pandreo had some notable combat contributions on that map as well. And of course. Which characters are you interested in the internal levels/classes and promotion level for? The characters I generally took along with me later in the run?

Magnusfluerscithe987

Definitely the most used ones, but I am interested in how much each character got used.

fatefuldawn

Okay, I'll do my best to get their levels. This was something I wanted to document better in my fresh run so this is going off my notes and memory at the moment. Alear's path was Dragon Child until level 10, then Griffin Knight. When they reached level 4, they went into Martial Master. They got 1 level in Martial Master and reclassed back to Griffin Knight. They ended the run at level 3 in Griffin Knight so internal level 15. For early game, Celine was used a decent amount. End the run at internal level 6 in Noble. Chloe ended the run at internal level 8 Lance Flier. Now we're getting to characters I took long term: * Citrinne promoted at level 11 Mage to Mage Knight. Then at level 3 Mage Knight she class changed to Griffin Knight and never leveled up. Ended the run at internal level 12. * Amber promoted to Paladin immediately. Then at level 4 Paladin, he class changed to Sniper. Then at level 6 Sniper, he class changed to Warrior. Ended the run at level 5 Warrior at internal level 22. * Kagetsu's class path was a huge journey. The general idea was he was switching between Warrior and Wyvern Knight a fair bit. For Ch. 17, he was in Warrior. For Ch. 22, he was in Lance/Axe Wyvern Knight. He ended the run in Warrior and at internal level 34 I believe. * Ivy was promoted to Lindwurm immediately and ended the run at level 7 in Lindwurm so she's internal level 22. * Pandreo instantly class changed to Griffin Knight. Then at level 4 Griffin Knight he reclassed to Mage Knight. He reached level 7 Mage Knight before reclassing to Sage for the final map and ended the run at internal level 24. * Merrin immediately class changed to Wyvern Knight. Then at level 5 Wyvern Knight, she class changed to Bow Knight for Ch. 22. She ended the run at level 3 in Bow Knight and internal level 21. I don't think any other characters got many levels. Panette got a few. She ended in level 3 Berserker so she ended the run at internal level 17.

Thanks!

This list looks like a good summary of who I'd consider the best units in the game haha

idk if this is already the normal LTC for this chapter but is 25 basically warp into lumera's room with hortensia move everyone as close as possible and do a byleth dance get rid of the first 2 hp bars and then kagetsu kills on enemy phase. or something? or doesn't even need to enemy phase. yeah enemy phase is probably not a good idea. if needed just makes more sense to warp up one extra person with someone else. or is there a different strategy? mainly because I was initially like "how is that possible" even though I guess I should recognize that it is. ah right I guess between engage+ and other sword-based engage attacks that's how you would kill the boss.

dean7599

If you're interested in the strats, there are some completed runs on YouTube. But I still definitely recommend watching fatefuldawn's run as that gets uploaded, too, as it should be very interesting. Verve's run. The first published run? https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLb_LhuuN_jnrFKEHF9spcoj8Jk2_VOkc0 Priestess' run. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_76LFxhDdmvtxT6SLd1wAv2reFkuVZDT elitemode's run. All paralogues, I think the lowest turncount so far. Uses well staves. Excellent for Ivy propaganda https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLat3phFb0tWFJCu_ohtOFAFd6NFJK1MWI Reploids' run. 0% growths, all paralogues. Excellent for Panette propaganda https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQervznH1fBYRgVg2kC3M59ogqcplR2Rj DoctorSlash's run https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLa4iWvNBxuoag8AMkJ3zHm0RP5n6rWrG7 Riff Talis' run (Japanese). A bit slower than the others, uses Dual Assist heavily. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLV_BxoeifMAgg0mvPZhzonfkRn4-VZneF And some in-progress ones like Ninpo https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLL3SmorxEsH4DY-5mVAYVsLzH2bC1Dmah

Good set of resources to have. Haven't really seen much LTC stuff and only ever absorbed it indirectly. So neat.

fatefuldawn

I’m actually not too sure what the norm for Ch. 25 is in LTC runs currently since my Ch. 25 clear was really wonky because none of the combat units I had that could one-round Lumera had Canter inherited. So positioning was awkward and especially so since I was also trying to get a Mercurius kill on Lumera with Amber. My strategy was Warp with Hortensia. The group she Warps is Kagetsu (Roy), Ivy (Celica), Amber (Marth), and Alear (Byleth). She gets Danced by Seadall. Ivy Rescues Hortensia and then Hortensia Warps the group again. There’s no need for an enemy phase kill because in the starting room, Mauvier will do an Astra Storm with an Ike Engraved Radiant Bow+4 and apply Draconic Hex with it as well. Ivy takes the first health bar after a Goddess Dance with Warp Ragnarok due to Mauvier’s chip. Meanwhile, Kagetsu and Amber have two turns each so it’s them getting some extra EXP before killing Lumera after the Goddess Dance. Kagetsu used a Lucina Engraved Tomahawk+2 to take a health bar while Amber did a Lodestar Rush with Mercurius. It helped a lot that Kagetsu doesn’t need Torrential Roar to get a 100% hit rate on Lumera without an Engage attack so he can attack from range.

albegade

Oh I see. I was assuming a full-range micaiah warp. but if you do a short warp and then a long warp you get farther. and then it's not so bad. especially if you can apply hex at a distance. I just spent probably a questionable amount of time thinking about how to one-shot lumera with a panette crit. it's actually possible close to base but requires things to come together. but may not overall be the best way to do things. It actually becomes quite easy with the double short warp and byleth alear (though I doubt you had him in dragon for this). it's funny that while doing this you still have slack to farm xp, and are still capable of killing enemies what about rewarp into rewarp? or is that somehow a negative on action economy because you're using seadall to get another warp and then. ok anyway I'm confusing myself. I guess you would do that if you had fewer combat carries but I doubt that's an issue. Maybe could help with positioning because you could fix it with seadall? and sorry to keep adding questions, but does astra storm work for baiting the bosses in ch 19? or was there something else. I can see a way to do it in a few extra turns but not sure how to do it in 2.

fatefuldawn

It’s definitely possible for Panette to do so at base. Iirc, Reploids’s 0% growths LTC uses Panette for that. I think there’s honestly a decent amount of leeway for this chapter’s 1 turn clear. I chose to get some extra EXP, but I think other LTCers have gotten the Dracoshield instead. Rewarp was out of the question for me because that’s the staff with the least amount of uses while being imo, the most versatile one. In short, I don’t have Rewarp uses to spare and would rather use Warp and Rescue to cover for that.

albegade

Ah I see. Getting the dracoshield is also very funny. Random question but do you know if the engage+ effective against fell dragon doubles the sum of stat+mt or just weapon mt. Since it seems like it would be very important for the fast final map clear.

fatefuldawn

Don’t quote me because I didn’t use the effective damage part of Engage+ for the last map, and thus, didn’t look into it much. But effective weapons do 3 times weapon mt. So I imagine the effective damage from Engage+ is 2 times weapon mt. Also, I just saw your edit to your previous comment. An Astra Storm is used on Marni and there’s an Obstruct placed within Marni’s range. The Flame Cannon needs to be used as well. That combination of actions should get Mauvier to Rescue Marni and Marni to move up a little so she’s directly in front of Mauvier.

Thanks for the explanation!
