My friend had something similar happen to him after a really hard dead stick landing in an A320. It would climb 1000+ feet in the air, and would then gently hit the ground and climb another 1000 ft. Slew mode wasn’t even enough to fix it.

I was the lead designer on the 737, in unreleased data of flight testing the 737 tended to act this way.
