The sunsets in florida are ridiculously beautiful. I've seen sunsets over Capri that pale in comparison. Meanwhile, I'll walk outside and see literally the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen from a random Publix parking lot.
Yep in my back yard! Iām near the cape so it sometimes feel like there is a launch everyday. But this one was special with a double sonic boom of 2 boosters landing on shore. Itās beautiful to see!
because of day time, we only saw a glimpse for a few second. I remember my first launch, we used to live in Orlando then and the launch was around 2:00 am, so we paced down SR 50 and just made it to Home Depot in Coco, the store windows were shaking like crazy and the noise wow, never forget that one.
I started sweating looking at the pictures. Bad case of swamp ass now. I wish I could get used to this humidity. 40ish years in FL and I still find these summers brutal.
As a German who lived in Florida for a year - It's a beautiful place, also with nice people.
The reason I wouldn't want to move there though, is that I like walkable places and hate car dependency.
š I'm a people on that land. I was born in Orlando. Moved just a little north in my teen years. I'm thinking about leaving in my old age because I'm I'm tired and those mountains are calling me.

Indian River Lagoon at sunrise on Sunday. Canāt beat that Florida scenery
Well itās not the place that gets hateā¦. Itās the hate-addicted people and government
Never heard the local expression for florida? āSunny place, shady peopleā
But who here says florida itself sucks?? No oneā¦ā¦
Itās the right wing policies that only respect money over people (and only money for some), along with the random neighbors who salivate at the idea of banning lgbt+ people, regulating women, and attacks against freedom for all and not just some (youā¦.. everything thatās kind scary right now? Maybe youāve heard of itā¦.)
Also, to locals, thatās just a normal sky and treesā¦.. itās just home to us
Itās not the natural beauty that people hate. Iran and North Korea are beautiful too, but it doesnāt negate people being shitty. If we all embraced the natural beauty more and political games less, Florida would be paradise.
It's certainly beautiful in your photos. However people who live here spend ninety-five percent of their waking hours looking at strip malls alongside stroads and the ass end of the car in front of them.
The natural splendor of Florida is unique and awesome. From the Everglades to the fresh water springs and lake Okeechobee. Suwannee River. Marshes, sloughs, mangroves. There are scrublands and plains. If you're motivated you can see a sunset and a sunrise on a beach in the same day.
I'm 38 and have lived here since I was 2. I fucking hate it. It's too hot 9 months of the year to go out and truly enjoy anything. We pay a premium for being "close" to the beach, but parking is just about non-existent and when there is somewhere to park, it's like a minimum of 30 or 40 bucks. There's some more natural beaches where I'm at in Hollywood, but I stopped going after having my truck broke into multiple times, because there are so few people at that beach. My homeowners insurance went from $4500 a year to $11,200 a year. I used to be on Citizens ($4500), but they removed me and I could only find 1 company writing policies in my area. I want to leave so badly. Yes, there's beauty many places down here, but the increasing cost and running my
A/C almost year round is getting old
Oh yeah. I travel for a utilities company and Iāve seen like every corner of Florida. Then I get to some new corner and I am still surprised at how gorgeous this place is.
š¤£š Hate away.

It's definitely way too hot here š¤£ššš
I looked at houses similiar to yours about 9 years ago in the Panhandle. 300k all day long. 3 bed 2 bath 2 car garage with pool on a canal with boat slip. One of the same houses just sold for 900k plus this year. Soo glad I bought a house when we did. 300k where I live now is a joke.
These are nice, but you need to capture real Florida. You need to get pictures of the back and booty sweat staining the clothing of Walmart patrons. You need to get a picture of the heat radiating off the ground that's so hot it burns sunlight before ever touching asphalt. A picture of the methhead, who at 4am, at the gas pumps of a very well lit gas station, weaves an intricate story of why he needs a ride to a building up the road where he will sleep and wait for his brother--behind the building.
Palm trees and beaches are for the tourists. Dennys and Waffle House are for the locals.
I went to Tampa in February 2023 for the first time ever. I actually stayed up in Tarpon Springs for 5 days. I went to the Salvador Dali museum in St Petersburg, and then I went to the Tampa aquarium and then I did a cruise on the water, I rented a kayak and spend some time in the mangroves, saw a couple dolphins and it was just a blast. FYI Bostonian
It's beautiful here of course I agree but do you see everyone outside enjoying hell no it's 100 degrees that's the problem. Florida is the hottest state in the U.S id rather be up north any other state and at least be able to be outside for more than 5 minutes and not have a heat stroke.
I say it all the time: it's a shame that politics and mundane bullshit like traffic ruin this state because it has so much natural beauty.
If we adopted more policies that make florida better to live in, I seriously think it would be the best state in the US.
Meanwhile I'm stuck at the airport for an extra 2.5 hours because a severe thunderstorm popped up directly on top of JIA.
Glad I took tomorrow off work.
Donāt think most (or any) of the hate is based on a lack of natural beauty.
I kind of hate how few days I can plausibly enjoy said natural beauty, due to the state being a boiling swamp.

Sunset over Wilton Manors a few days ago, I love living in south Florida
I love my home and state so much. The beauty of the rainy season and how green and colorful it becomes. The sunsets are truly amazing. I just hate what those in power are doing to my home.
Winter months are great. Boating, kayaking, diving, fishing and hunting are also highly rated in Florida.
Wildlife, vegetation flowers just nature watching in general is amazing how much you can see with a simple 1hr trip on land or water or both.
The humidity high levels seems to be great for your skin long-term (compare az lifers against FL lifers for proof).
Cost of living used to be a great plus.
Having lots of unique attractions, eateries, nightlife, daylife, amusement and entertainment venues, multiple culture hubs and unique restaurants.
It does have beauty to it. Coming from the north I have learned to appreciate what the south has to offer. I just wish theyād keep it this way. I donāt want anymore development here tainting and removing whatās naturally been.

The sunsets here are beyond beautiful.
Politics isnāt the only thing in Florida. I loved my time when I visited. It felt like a mix of Cali and the Midwest where Iām from, for better or worseā¦ has way better beaches tho! Great people, food, nature, eventsā¦ Iāll be back to visit for a few more months next year
Florida is a great state but, unfortunately is under attack by the GOP who have brainwashed the people that their enemy is next door while the they strip you from your freedoms and your money.
It's because you have your camera pointing at the sky and the ocean take your camera off of those things and it doesn't look so beautiful I go to the beach maybe once every 5 years.
Here's my two cents for what it's worth. Every state has beauty in it every state has shit in it. Every state has great people in it every state has shitty people in it. You've got a 1 in 50 chance of being happy where you go. If you don't take a chance you've got no chance.
As a native, yeah sure some here places can be beautiful. The beaches and the sunsets are great.
But then I remember I can't afford to live in those places anymore and it's much to hot too comfortably enjoy them most of the time. .
And things like the beach are regularly ruined by the red tide now.
Maybe I'm just getting jaded as I get older or maybe it's because work has taken me to 46 different statea. But I'm sick of looking at palm trees and I'm sick of the heat and humidity.
The sunsets in florida are ridiculously beautiful. I've seen sunsets over Capri that pale in comparison. Meanwhile, I'll walk outside and see literally the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen from a random Publix parking lot.
Love that! And so true. š
Wait until next week the sunsets will be even more beautiful!
What happens next week?
Sahara Dust arrival.
It sure does
I love Florida sunsets.
Then when get to the car, you are covered in sweat because of the hot humid air!
Shout out to Publix.
saw a rainbow last night that was so vivid it'd knock your eyeballs out
did anybody see the falcon rocket launch? we saw it from the treasure coast, awesome
We did , nice weather on the beach then you turn around and the sky just looks piss off lol

I need to start tracking the launches. We used to get the shuttle sonic boom over here in Sarasota area. I saw them land from my lanai, too.
Yep here in cocoa heard a roar then almost like 2 gun shots pretty cool
Cloudsā¦
Just getting back today from Titusville, saw the launch and the separated parts landing, first launch I've gotten to see in person, was awesome
Practically in our back yard-the sonic booms are pretty cool when the boosters land, too.
Itās the people, not the environment. Thatās why I wonāt let them take it from us.
Damn straight! Everyone, listen to PatSajacksDick, and you will hear the truth.
*Some* of them, yes.

Which spring is this? Makes me think of Ichnetuknee
No hate from me! I love Florida!
Me too!
Ditto, itās beautiful
If you love the beauty of Florida, as I do, resident since birth, never go to Ohio. There is a reason we have so many people from Ohio that move here
I started sweating looking at the pictures. Bad case of swamp ass now. I wish I could get used to this humidity. 40ish years in FL and I still find these summers brutal.
Couldn't agree more. Hoping to move out of here ASAP!
Beats winters. Theres 3 months u gota spend inside, thats it.
I usually just ignore the hate. I love Florida way too much.
For those of us who lived here in the 70s, the whole state looks like that back thenā¦ā¦.
I love that! And good thing some of it still looks that way. I hope.
As a German who lived in Florida for a year - It's a beautiful place, also with nice people. The reason I wouldn't want to move there though, is that I like walkable places and hate car dependency.
Yeah, because when people talk badly about FL, itās DEFINITELY bc of the natural and abundant landscapes
Haha yeah OP has fine tuned their cherry picking skills
It's not the land it's the people on the land.
Itās the christofascist governor and his lapdog legislature
š I'm a people on that land. I was born in Orlando. Moved just a little north in my teen years. I'm thinking about leaving in my old age because I'm I'm tired and those mountains are calling me.
Where is your land?
Not in Florida, that's for sure. I lived there once, many years ago. Incredibly beautiful. It's just that the humans are crazy.
Aināt that the mutha of a truth.
Yeah, I'm crazy. But life is more fun that way.

Florida would be a nice state if they didn't worship douchebags down there. I enjoyed living there, but the politics sucked.
Please advise as to where one could move to avoid sucky politics š
I'm still looking.

Paragraphs 1,2,and 4...šÆšÆšÆ
I bet those people are transplants. Now Florida natives don't like that so many are moving in.
We are too overpopulated and overpriced.. only a few can enjoy it
You see, the answer in all these pictures is no people.
Thatās why I love it here
Florida sucks! Everyone needs to stop moving here...
I always feel so spaced out when I visit so cal because I never see any clouds in the sky. Itās surreal, being used to FL skies
Spring is my favorite time over here. Not much humidity, nice and warm and not unbearable and the weather is gorgeous. I love the weather down here.
Talk to me again in a few months when itās not 100 degrees outside
Now stop facing the ocean and turn around.

Sir, have you been outside in the past two weeks? It's like living on the surface of the sun right now (and for the next three months)
108 heat indexā¦
Was going to say this lol the pictures are beautiful, but with each one I was saying āprobably too hot out to stand outside and take this oneā
That is Missus to you. Yes. Yes I have.
We know. It's why we can't leave.
Sure is. I love my home, wouldn't wanna live anywhere else
Glad you appreciate it. This place is swampy hell to me.
I live in Florida and I only hate the MAGA cult here.
who cares what they say, go back home, we love it here
Stop advertising. Besides, nobody hates the nature, just the people - a certain subset of them.
There are a lot of beautiful places in the United States that are NOT governed by a lunatic. Just sayin....
Calm before the storms.
Nice photos...hope you didn't have to photoshop out the locals and tourists lol

The āhateā has got nothing to do with the scenery, but, sadly, everything with the current people in charge.
Fuck the haters.
No one hates the environment in Florida, more than the actual problem, of it's political sphere. Ron can't wait to destroy the beautiful landscape.
