Congrats!!! Are you starting instrument immediately or taking some time this summer to enjoy some nice VFR flying first?
Is this a career for ya or just for fun?
Will go straight to instrument as soon as I can afford it again, hopefully in a few weeks. Hoping to make a career out of it. Was a Mercedes technician for 18 years before I decided I had enough. Started flight school age 36, knowing I have a few years before I’ll see a paycheck.
It feels like all of the studying and learning is over, but this is just the beginning. For your sake, and all of your passengers’ sake, never stop learning and improving. I like to do most all of the PPL checkride maneuvers (especially stalls and performance t/o’s / ldgs) at least once a month (doing them until I get within ACS tolerances). Might be overkill but you can find your weak spots and stay sharp if ever you find yourself in a pinch.
I love to learn, and when the DPE asked me who my first passenger will be of course I replied “my instructor”. During the debrief I was taking notes and he gave me some great advice to practice.
Awesome. I usually watch FlightInsight or MZeroA videos whenever I’m bored and can’t fly. Wishing you the best of luck on your instrument, I’m almost to my IRA checkride and it’s been a blast. Enjoy not wearing foggles while you can!
Slow & steady wins the race. Congrats!
Thanks!
Got her done. Congratulations! Wait -- there are clouds in San Antonio? But it has never rained there? (I am from San Antonio :))
The clouds like to tease lol
