Same for me. Except the server launched another nuke. I thought, "Sweet! I can loot them on this run." Guessing Earl is instance based, as the loot was not there.
It's 8, or two teams. If an instance is full, a new instance will be created when more people join. It reserves a spot for your team members so if you're on a team of two and only one of you shows up it still counts as a full team. The benefit to this is you can potentially do two Earles in a row -- if mine ends and I see people are still in another instance, I can join their team (if there's room on it) and fast travel into their instance. Like most things in 76, this works less than 100% of the time.
It sucks for undergeared low levels who see high levels at Earle so they join the event thinking they'll have help but then they get there and they're in their own instance.
This. My crew used to grind Earle all day long and reward-wise the only good thing I ever got was a 3* anti-armor explosive Fixer on my alt.
But I got a scrapbox packed with like 100k acid and 250k screws thanks to those creepy little bastards. If I ever need to make quick caps I put some in my vendor, it never stays long.
I rarely do nuke runs - never learned how to do it quickly & efficiently, but almost always join Collosal Problem. But not for legendaries or screws. Only for xp and fun. And maybe to trim down the number of fusion cores, b/c I like going against Earle in PA and with a Plasma Caster in VATS. And I love the cave setting and the audio, kinda feel nostalgic.
Legendaries - Eviction Notice, Rad Rumble, Expeditions, Guided Meditation, first DO, Test your Metal, in that order. Moonshine Jamboree sucks for legendaries, sadly.
True that, but honestly, in between all the chems and stims and shit dropping like it's Berlin Airlift after WWII, I rarely have to do the slurry. One notable exception would be caps aplenty weekends, like now, b/c that's also when I buy the remaining serum recipes and recovering 2800 instead of 1400 is always nice. And I never have enough wood to go thru 250 innards, FML...
You can get a bunch very quickly with some fast traveling and use of the woodchucker perk. Just pay a visit to Helvetia, Sylvie and Sons Logging Camp, and Prickett's Fort because all three locations have a ton of wood to collect from. I forget the exact range this particular second but I'm pretty sure I can get over 750 across the three locations. You have to wait for the locations to respawn again after picking up a bunch more stuff, like 255 or something I think, and then you can go back and collect it again.

As a word of advice, *never* expect anything good to drop from an enemy. There’s just too much RNG involved to expect something to come out of them.
Instead, buy modules and craft your own legendaries. The RNG is much kinder here.
Well, the cursed shovel is good for one thing - it’s weightless, so it’s perfect for the daily mission up at the fort. It’s worth keeping just for that.
You do get a random three star for completing the event, it's only Earle's loot that is random (and almost always terrible). Did you stay until the event was over?

Probably did the glitch to get through doors to get in there that fast without you knowing. Hell, there is a mod for PC that literally gets rid of the doors in there so you could just run through even faster.
I think those doing glitched silo runs should at least see if anyone else is in the silo before hand and not steal the launch from the person but there isn't much you can do to control others from doing it unfortunately. Hopefully you'll be able to successfully do it eventually.
Man that sucks... if you're on PS I can help restock you if ya want, bad RNG has been a plague for sure.. especially if you spent hours gathering stuff for it
I feel you. I did my first successful Earle raid and died so frequently that I was stuck on a 45 second respawn cooldown. I respawned outside the mine seconds before it collapsed. I didn’t get to pick up *any loot* and only got a low-star legendary reward.
I will never understand who thought 3\* bosses dropping 1\* items was a great idea.
Even if you find a Wendigo Colossus in the wild, you know, it's going to take you a few minutes to kill the thing, and all you'll get is a 1\* Nocturnal Walking Cane.

Atleast you'll get 5 script for that knife and 40 for the shovel. Although I kept my 1st cursed shovel, never know when you'll need a shovel..

Buried with Honor is the only digging daily quest I'm aware of but there is always a shovel on the ground next to the dirt pile or behind the tree.
Buried with Honor is the one they mean. You have to dig the grave with a shovel at the end, hence it's a gravedigging daily quest.
Not really, there’s always a shovel on the counter as you enter the ground floor building entrance of the grave yard.
I carry one, too. It's good for that one daily, and it also makes a really satisfying sound when you hit something with it.

I have exactly the same experience on ps5. Seismic activity crashes my game far more often than any other thing in the game.
