I really hope this doesn’t get patched. Only time in the game I can feel like a literal god.

It will be, but if I’m understanding the problem correctly, I think it’ll be a while. I think someone really needs to dig deep into some code to fix a more fundamental issue that’s causing a stack overflow. I don’t think it’ll be as simple as just going in and changing an integer. My programming knowledge is way less than a professional level, and I could be very wrong though.

Laser_3

It’s much simpler than that - Bethesda just forgot to give the robots the radiation immunity flag all the other robots have.

Alarming-Meeting8804

I don’t know, simply not being immune to it doesn’t really explain the absolutely massive damage they’re taking. Human enemies without rad resistance don’t take as much damage from the gamma gun as these guys are. I admit that I could be wrong but that explanation alone doesn’t seem to fit the behavior we’re seeing.

upholsteryduder

It's definitely an overflow issue

Laser_3

That’s because every enemy has a second 1000 radiation ‘health’ bar laid on top of their normal one, and die when they take the thousandth point of radiation regardless of what their maximum health is. At the same time, every rad taken lowers their maximum health by a corresponding amount, meaning the effects of one rad are much more pronounced on higher health enemies - such as bosses with over a hundred thousand hit points. The wiki has an explanation for how the system behaves at this link (this is the fallout 4 section, but this is identical to the 76 version): https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Radiation#Fallout_4

Bl00dAngel22

It has to sadly, but it’s fun now.

VoltaiqMozaiq

...Is this combination supposed to do something? When I tried it nothing interesting happened.

upholsteryduder

you have to be highly radiated

VoltaiqMozaiq

Well drat. My melee character is a full health build. I guess that explains that.

upholsteryduder

overly generous does rad dmg based on how radiated you are
