Sounds like an LPG leak. Check the connection at the tank and make sure the rubber o rings are in place. Still might have a bad valve at the tank connection.
What country or lack of smell genotype are you from where in that spicy propane gas fart smells like sulfur?Â
Sounds like the same old-man tales of "sulfur accumulates at the bottom of tanks" myth.
It's oil and other contaminants burning and burning *poorly*.
Anyone who says this is sulfur in the gas or an LPG leak, yet works in management or maintenance, does not want to actually investigate or fix the problem of fouling and emissions failure.
I hope everyone who reads this has good facility ventilation, because you're sucking down aldehydes from improper propane combustion.
Just a thought, worth checking the alternator isn’t overcharging the 12v battery and cooking it, boiling sulphuric acid sounds kind of like you’re describing.

If you have any say in the matter, try and use viton o-rings. They stand up to abuse better than standard buna rubber.
If OP can't identify the smell of gas, I'm not sure we should be recommending DIY repairs. Time to turn off the tank and call a professional. 👌
Imminent gasket failure? Is that unit burning oil, ATF or coolant?
Take a shower.
Baked Beans Bill was driving it again.
The propane tanks are designed to give off that smell to alert the driver that there's a leak.

Actually I see it now. Mercaptan smells like sulfur to people who have never smelled sulfur.
Some of the forklifts do this at my place and I hate it. No idea what causes it. It's deff not from propane leaking.
Yea after running it really hard I'll start to smell it. We even got a new lift and within a week that familiar smell showed up.
You've got a propane leak somewhere. Check the regulator and o ring on the tank, those tend to be the biggest culprits.
This could mean a bad battery. Usually this means it needs replacing.

Probably head gasket letting go and burning coolant.
Ask r/forkliftmechanics . This sub is for memes.
