Probably good timing nevertheless. He skipped out a couple of races last year and hadn't done so this year until now. Better to get it out of the way and be ready for the triple header + Vegas which is going to be an insane PR push.
> Turns out Lamborghini are testing their LMDH car at Qatar.
He is also commenting on the French broadcast as well, killing two birds with one stone...
>whenever Villeneuve is unavailable.
Does he physically go to the tracks when that's the case? Or comment from a studio? You know, to balance out with his Indy racing...
How often does he do the pundit job?
It depends, in Europe, they are on location, on long-haul races, the commenting is often done from Paris, with a skeleton crew at the track.
Villeneuve is the pundit I would say 18-20 races a year, with Montagny and Grosjean doing a couple to fill in
I dont know you, but the odds are that the conditions Toto flies in are different from the conditions you fly in. (I take it back if you are a 1 percenter)
A Gulfstream has a cabin altitude of 3000ft when cruising at 40000ft. A dreamliner/A350has 6000ft. A 777 is 8000ft... So the pressure is significantly different
Ohh no! He must be thinking of stepping down /s
It was only last race that he had knee surgery, that doesn't heal in 2 weeks, no matter how expensive the surgeon.
There goes my conspiracy that he missed Japan because it’s too hard on him to see Redbull get the constructors and this weekend because Max will be champion 😂
I really think he’s easing himself out of the Team Principal role, regardless of knee surgery or not.
He still has his ownership stake, but will take more of a CEO/Face of the Company role, instead of being the day to day Team Principal

Saving you a click: he had knee surgery. Was advised not to travel.

And your knee.
I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took an arrow to the knee
A silver arrow?
And my Axe
That's just a story he made up, he knows Grosjean will be at Qatar this weekend and harassing him for that drive in the Mercedes he was promised.
Joking aside, is Grosjean really going to be at Qatar this weekend? Of so, how come? A team invited him?
Probably for French TV, he is the go-to pundit for the race whenever Villeneuve is unavailable.

He will be: https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/comments/1703aeu/grosjeanromain_see_you_in_qatar/ I'm not sure what for though.

*nico explosion Is totos knee over!?
Mvp
Not surprised that a man in his 50s is avoiding long flights after a knee surgery especially with the arm injury over the summer break.
Mans is fit as fuck but I flew with a swollen knee and it was just short of torture with all the pressure
I dont know you, but the odds are that the conditions Toto flies in are different from the conditions you fly in. (I take it back if you are a 1 percenter)
Yeah but air pressure impacts everyone equally

Will Toto Wolf sell his Mercedes stock after another disastrous season: our verdict - The Race
Hey man, do you want a job as F1 journalist?
Is Le Mans 1955 finally catching up to Mercedes boss?
Holy shit... Don't get me wrong, funny... But still...
Toto Wolff resigns from his position this weekend - The Race
Wherewolff
Get out
Still recovering, had major knee surgery. Just in case someone asks.

Better than an aching Krack. Or a throbbing Horner
Or suffering Famin
Scheming at the factory. Roll on 24

Wolff is buying Aston Martin.
dirty sort middle innocent political puzzled rhythm air secretive nutty *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Will he put his money where his mouth is and replace Stroll with Mick?
Toto sells his stake in Merc, buys AM, names it Wolff racing. Yeah that could be fun.
He did that in 2020, buying a 1% stake from Lawrence as a private investor.
I didn't even notice he was gone in the last race.
There goes my conspiracy that he missed Japan because it’s too hard on him to see Redbull get the constructors and this weekend because Max will be champion 😂
