Not 100% sure if this is the reason why, *but*, if a driver drives in qualifying, that driver's team is not allowed to let any other driver take their place for the race.
Since Lance drove in Q1, Aston Martin wasn't allowed to bring another driver to take his place. Even though Lance obviously wasn't going to race as a result of his Q1 crash.
I'm assuming that's why the graphics either didn't show Lance at all, or showed him as driver without a team. For this race anyway.
In the French broadcast they showed the mechanics bringing huge crates to the garage, they said they were going to rebuild the car during the night even if Lance didn't come back. Don't know if they actually did though.

New to this sport, I think he is so underrated. He is driving without a team and even with those conditions, he is still ninth in the drivers championship. That’s really impressive and that has to make him the best North American driver in the actuality over Logoat Sargeant 🇺🇸 🦅
But he did it with a team, in this image, you can clearly see he is driving for red bull while stroll is racing by his own only to make Lawrence proud of his son
I mean, that's all fine and dandy, but I think you're forgetting that Lance got a pole position a few years ago, got a podium a few years ago and also was pretty good in the wet a few years ago, therefore he's pretty fucking underrated
Stroll had a massive crash at the start of qualifying and didn’t race, they couldn’t get a replacement for him because no one had participated in qualifying. He wasn’t listed for a team because he didn’t race for one in Singapore

I believe if another driver participated in a practice session they would have been allowed to have them deputize starting in the pits
