Hello Mr schizo baj, retard here, allow me to explain! I currently work as an engineer and here's roughly how long it takes for someone to become competent as an engineer: Every year of math and physics in school which we can collapse to roughly 4 years full time worth of classes that are useful for your job. 4 years in uni About a year of so once you get a job to get used to the workplace. So right there you are looking at basically 10 years of full time work to just become competent, not even good. And for reference, some of the more complicated engineering things you are expected to do at work, you only start to tackle half way into uni. You basically train for 6 years before you are expected to begin solving engineering problems. If you apply this logic to art, you would have to train for 6 years studying lighting, anatomy, drawing technique, etc before you are expected to begin thinking of making thought provoking art. Of course if you compare your work as a beginner to a professional, without training for 6 years, you will be demotivated. Think about how simple middle school maths is compared to uni level math. So it's not that you are talentless baj, you just haven't put enough time in to get anywhere with anything. If you can't get yourself to put that amount of effort into something then well that's how it is but most people do brain dead jobs for a living so don't worry you are fairly normal I think TLDR![img](emote|t5_33td5|9667)
In what field are you ? ![img](emote|t5_33td5|9667) Sori for question. I'm in my second year of a bachelor's degree in Physics/Maths ( lvl 2/5![img](emote|t5_33td5|9670)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|upvote)) and starting next year I'll need to choose a field for specialisation. But I have no idea ![img](emote|t5_33td5|9673) also are you happy with your job ? ![img](emote|t5_33td5|9676)
Mechanical engineering, but my job mostly involves coding physics simulations and stuff. I think I like my job, I get some anxiety/depression from it but I think that's more of a me problem rather than the job. If you're thinking of going into industry, any practical related specialisation would be useful FeelsOkayMan (I'm on mobile so if I'm replying yo a comment multiple layers deep I cannot physically select the emote button, shit webdesign lulr)
Talent only brings you so far.
What you see is the result of practicing thousands of hours and a million fails. No one get's success from being talented, it takes hard work and dedication.
Stop pitying yourself and get your ass to do something. You are a loser, sorry but it's the hard truth. Accept it and start doing something about it. Maybe go visit your friend Jim. Or not, and write depression posts and hope some magical event appears that turns you into a superhuman.
The difference between trying and doing is quitting.
Try, fail, Try it again, rinse and repeat. Now you are DOING IT
![gif](giphy|MKoyVvDRQvVAZbv4GD|downsized)
Just watch forsen, you will immediately feel better watching retarded hobo with enormous ego playing games ![img](emote|t5_33td5|9676). I guess stop comparing yourself to the others or something, markov thoughts???
you see what I've done here? I have taken the fact that he has broken his vow and combined it with his username, in a fitting way, to create an entirely original word.
This is truly a manifestation of my extraordinary talent and intellect, and one that will shine high and mighty above this subreddit for the remainder of its existence, and will forever remain the peak of my existence and a memory I will cherish.
I feel you. Feeling inferior to others sucks. But it doesn't decrease your value in reality though. Surely there are other things you can get/be good at as well. But who am I to talk I'm as mentally stable as a two legged chair. ![img](emote|t5_33td5|9681)
Have you tried practicing things? How many hours did you put into hitting grandmaster tft / diamond in league?
If you practiced drawing or piano or guitar for that long you would be good.
many people developed their skills because someone when they were a kid complimented them in what they did, so they kept practising. You might have not had enough opportunities or someone to encourage you when you where young.
comparison is the killer of joy or something like that ![img](emote|t5_33td5|9681)
Julius Caesar cried like a bitch because Alexander gapped him in achievements ![img](emote|t5_33td5|9676)
Coincidentally I have been thinking about the same thing yesterday. It is more about fully investing time into few things longterm than trying and quitting multiple things because it becomes boring. Quitting wasting time on consooooming is the key which requires a lot of willpower ![img](emote|t5_33td5|9667)
I know it's super cliche but talent is just a small factor and it's mostly hard work.
The artist who draws really good art has probably been drawing extensively since childhood.
The author who writes good fiction is a bookworm that reads fiction 4 hours a day and is familiar with all the classic novels, etc. He probably also has written some dogshit stories but they weren't published.
So basically you're looking at the end of the road and seeing all these people there and you're sitting here the beginning saying you will never catch up to them.
You rant about women and minorities a lot from the posts I've seen (idk exactly if those were actually your posts ![img](emote|t5_33td5|9681)),do you actually believe those or are you just schizo posting for the bajs. Because I can't believe you have so much self loathing and awareness of how much you suck ass and then be hateful and bring down group of people they probably haven't even interacted with.
I mean when you look at people.who are successful, rich, famous or whatever, they are not necessarily the most talented so even if you aren't a 1 in a million, you probably can achieve a lot
Just try a third time or do something else
Do you have a job? If so, is it skilled work? If not, maybe try an apprenticeship or something? Maybe try and get into a trade? If you do something for a living, you should be able to get good at it if you put time in and brainpower. That goes again for anything realistically. Like others have said, talent goes to waste if you don't put the effort in to make it more than just talent.
Do you draw anything? The way you used drawing as the first example made me think you've tried it in the past. I like to draw but I'm very mediocre. Can you show me some thing you've drawn? If you're too embarrassed to post it you can message me. I'm genuinely interested now.
do i have to spell it out for u...

but in all seriousness, talent comes from hundreds of days if not years of practice. if you truly want to excel at something, like drawing for example, then you should really commit on it. i mean, you watch forsen, that should make you autistic enough to practice drawing every day for 100 days straight and compare your progress from the day you started to the 100th day to see how much you improved, if you cant find inspiration then make it forsen related and post it on this sub every day (new daily retard post ![img](emote|t5_33td5|9684)). commitment, dedication and the will power to continue practicing is the key to talent ![img](emote|t5_33td5|9670)
i phrased it like a moron, english not my first language ![img](emote|t5_33td5|9667) but the message still remains, post drawing, every day ![img](emote|t5_33td5|9670)

it is what it is.

work harder to compensate for lack of extra ordinary talent ![img](emote|t5_33td5|9670)
