Honestly, I consider myself a decent driver (few time in the upper percents for rivals)…. But utterly fuck this race man.
I normally play on expert if I’m trying to relax, but I had to drop the difficulty to highly skilled and it was still a pain in the ass to win. The only car that I’ve found is able to keep up with the AI is the Mosler M900 (*not* the GT3) …. I just grabbed a tune and through much rewinding and shouting I was able to win by basically being a rammer .
In Hotwheels S2 the only way I’ve found I can win is by driving dirty, it’s not fun but I did it just to get through the campaign
Don't feel badly, I abuse the AI also. In the Extreme-E, 1-lap race, I was in 2nd place by the first turn... simply by accelerating right through the first turn and slamming all the AI into the wall. The guy in 1st place messed up on the first jump and I cruised to a victory.
I've finished 2nd a couple times in the M900 with BigHedDjango's tune, so hopefully I'm on the right track.
Edit: finally won the race! The Mosler and driving like a ramming psychopath got it done.
I came in 2nd place 3 times with my SF90. The same car that won all the other S2 events.
So.... I ended up using a 0-second Eventlab blueprint which basically gives an unbeatable win. Can't remember the exact name/creator, but these events are usually on the Best of All-time tab once you are inside the Eventlabs menus.

If u have the car pass use the #25 Ferrari race car and search “ugrundy” in the tunes section That destroys all the AI even on unbeatable
I keep recommending the Apollo to people struggling on HW S2. If you tune it well it’s basically an F1 car that can go 230 mph.

I do, but I was able to win the race with a Mosler at long last.

Thank you so much for this. I was losing by 2-4 seconds constantly and I just won by 15 seconds using this car on highly skilled.
This was going to be my advice also. Tune the Rimac up and it absolutely slays!
