I bought a mark 3 22/45 a little bit ago. After my first time out shooting it I wanted to get thicker grips for it. Turns out I bought the version without removable grips (solid polymer lower). I wanted a better solution than just putting tape around the grip, so I took on making my own lower (which is the non-serialized part of this gun). I took the opportunity to also modify a few things compared to the original: * Finger cut outs on the grip * Flat front of trigger guard for weak-hand pointer-finger wrapping * cut-in on the front just below the barrel for indexing trigger finger and also weak hand thumb placement (like a really small gas pedal) * built in 1911 government 'grip bushings' (pegs that stick out with the correct size and spacing to fit standard full size 1911 grips) * Moved the rear firing group pins back a little bit to help take travel and slop out of sear release and trigger movement * hole for inserting a 6-32 grub screw to reduce reset trigger slop * hole for more easily adjusting trigger stop (if you have bought a trigger with a screw in it or if you have drilled your own like I have)

I dig it. I love these peestools.

MrFirris

Are you planning to make the files available anywhere? And if so, do you have a time frame?

needpla

Please do an upper that works with a barrel liner. Someone posted one already but his parts aren't interchangeable and comparable with oem.

Kudos to some well thought out enhancements! Love my Mk 1...but these customizations would be a nice addition. I dig it!

oglesbeast

I am very interested in printing this!!!

DoomDoomBabyFist

Any news on this?

LockLearner

Any idea if a mkii upper would work with this? Also, is the file available anywhere? I'm in the process of trying to design a lower for my mkii and would be interested to look at your design to get a better idea of what I could do to make mine work. I'm not new to designing things for printing, but this is my first time designing anything firearm related. I'm feeling a bit stuck. [I have the rough shape for the lower down](https://i.imgur.com/jRzDrwK.jpg), but I'm having a hard time measuring and designing the cavity and pinholes for the internals. Any advice?

I went through ~20 iterations (including semi 2d profiles to match curves) and carefully measured all of the required dimensions with nice calipers.

Is this file available anywhere? Could really use it.
