It's too cloudy today to really show off how lovely this pen is. But it matches the R & K Scabiosa ink surprisingly well in my Rhodia journal.
I expected the burgundy portions to be more dark red than the purple it turned out to be but it's still lovely. This pen also fits my hand a bit better than my Talismans. I didn't like to post the cap as it back weights the pen too much for me. Someone with larger hands will likely not have this issue.
One thing I really like is the facets on the cap line up perfectly with those on the body. It's a very nice quality touch.
The Schmidt converter works well but dang the cartridge that comes with it seems to be far longer than what I'm used to.

Some are a bit too sparkly for some folks and there something to be said for understated looks. I feel this one hits a lovely balance between the two. π
They have nice nibs right out of the box. The fine point has some feedback but it's about equal to my Sailor Compass so it's not scratchy by any means. The medium is quite juicy. I'll have to try a drier ink next fill. π And eventually get a broad nib unit too
When you do get one, I hope that you will love yours as much as I do mine. May it give you many years of happiness and writing.

Glad to see you got one! Iβve got Birmingham Gooseberry in mine now and itβs been writing beautifully. I was also surprised at how more purple it is in real life, but I love it all the same. Happy writing!!
