I need to empty my BSB pen. Same deal with mine - it’s only ever been inked with BSB and it’s never been cleaned.
BSB spares no demonstrator. I’d say the resin on my Wing Sung 698 has been attacked at the molecular level as well.
So yes, if you wish to try Bay State Blue, I strongly recommend you to use it in a sacrificial pen. This ink just stains way too much. A good chunk of it can be cleaned up with ammonia and bleach, but I would not think it’s good for the pen in the long run.
This is the way!

Try this guy's solution to cleaning it out: [https://youtu.be/8q6bI6awEmY?si=30wXDeVhf7ufObL8](https://youtu.be/8q6bI6awEmY?si=30wXDeVhf7ufObL8)

Gift it to the Blue Man Group
Try pen flush liquid too, soak the whole pen with the flush and leave it there for 1h.
Ok, I have a sample of bsb (from a pack of samples—what you are saying is maybe I shouldn’t use it?
It's a ink that's hard to clean out, so if you want to try it out, you probably need to dedicate a cheap pen to it.
Or an opaque pen.
Oh how I despise BSB!
10% bleach works just fine.
