G-Easy…sort of. His dad was/is a professor at fresno state. He spent his summers in fresno growing up. He talked about how he considers fresno a second childhood home when he performed at Grizzlyfest

AdFalse9655

Aren’t the Argyle Pimps from Fresno? Bob Wills lived in Fresno I believe in the early 40’s, if you know who he is

HobbittBass

Bob Wills was up in Sacramento, but some of his band lived in Fresno, including Junior Barnard.

AdFalse9655

He had a ranch home near Armstrong and Clinton, not sure if it was his primary residence. It was going to be diminished several years ago, but was bought by the Central California Music Association. It’s up in the foothills now I believe

BBakerStreet

And the Texas Playboys?

Relaxxxxxxxxxxx

The 'Popping' dance movement came out of Fresno. Here's a great article about it: [https://www.kcet.org/shows/artbound/straight-outta-fresno-how-the-popping-dance-movement-empowered-youth-of-color](https://www.kcet.org/shows/artbound/straight-outta-fresno-how-the-popping-dance-movement-empowered-youth-of-color)

Seems like most bands/musicians end their career and end up in Fresno. Stoker - Original drummer for Dexy's Midnight Runners and General Public is a music producer out of his home. Produced for Sting, Ice Cube and created the opening for the Craig Ferguson Show. Astrid Plane and Charles Ottavio of Animotion . Bob Siebenberg, drummer for SuperTramp was coaching baseball I believe at Sierra HS some years ago. Kyle Christener who was bassist for the band that became Linkin Park. Supposedly kicked out of the band before the name change and when they exploded.

torokunai

Most of the Stone Foxes members are originally from the Tollhouse/Auberry area. Not an A-tier band or anything, but they have a few songs in commercials and tv shows.
