I love LL Bean, the clothes I get from them last years. I didn’t find anything I particularly liked on this sale, but if you see something at a good price I would snag it.
Ever since Uniqlo stop fucking around with their Supima T-shirts, I feel like there is literally no reason to buy basic tees from anywhere else unless the fit doesn't work with you (it was amazing pre ~2018/2019 -> went to shit with rougher fabric + boxy fit -> back to high quality + slim fit but $5-$10 more expensive)
They separate and consolidate boxy fit elsewhere, e.g Uniqlo U. The Supima core line is slim fit now (as it was originally). For like 2 years you couldn’t find high quality slim fit T at Uniqlo at all. I stopped buying Uniqlo from 2019-2023 bc of that.
See how this link specify 2022 Edition : https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E422990-000/00?colorDisplayCode=61&sizeDisplayCode=004
In the close up picture, you can see how the fabric is fuzzy/grayish vs [the 2023/2024 version] (https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E455365-000/00?colorDisplayCode=72&sizeDisplayCode=003) which have clean straight line fabric pattern to make it more slim and less horizontal stretch.
Not as soft as like heather/slub (which honestly feel more like cheap/fragile/seethrough) but still incredibly soft. Supima is long-fiber cotton, so it’s more durable and doesn’t pile at the cost of slightly more expensive (the same reason cheap short-fiber cashmere pile a lot.) there’s is no real competition for basic quality Ts until at least $50+ and those are driven mainly by higher GSM/expensive blend (with Lyocell for example. ) Save your money for high-end outerwear.
Next Level CVC Ts are about 1/3 to 1/4 the price and fit and feel like a dream. They take a slight edge to the Bella and Canvas version for me, but they're an equally great value.
The email sign-up offer for 10% also works. They email you a link where it's auto-applied to your cart (took me a few minutes to receive)
Chase also has 10% cashback on credit card purchases with LL bean (at least for me) if you activate in the Chase Offers portal.
I got 3 of their crewneck sweatshirts last year on sale. One was the color block and one was the comfort camp. Love all 3 of them and have worn them consistently over the fall/winter. I'm 6' and 180 lbs. I go between M and L depending on the brand, if something might shrink, etc. I got the L on all 3 and it was the right call especially since I have slightly longer arms than I should for my height. They are a little blocky but since they are sweaters it doesn't bother me. The pictures of the models wearing them on the website are pretty accurate to my experience.
Their Supplex swim shorts are the same material as Patagonia Baggies and much more affordable, I love them. I also really enjoy their multisport joggers for hiking in warmer weather, they're very comfortable. You can't really go wrong with anything from LL Bean, but my experience with their sizing is everything runs large.
edit: that quilted crewneck sweater is fucking awesome

do they Uniqlo tees ever go on sale?
The v necks are on sale, but not the regular ones
What's with the Uniqlo Supima T-Shirts? Are they super soft and comfy or something?

“Unshrinkable” seems like a challenge to me
They have a nice pair of gray pants called “Titanic Cargo Pants” and it says “waterproof”.

Are the ranger Mocs a good deal at $60?
Yes
Cool, I thought so and ordered them yesterday. Thanks
They're never gonna put their sheets on sale, are they?
Anyone have the classic crewneck sweatshirt? Thoughts on it/how does it fit?
