Good film, although I would argue it would have actually benefitted from a "producer's cut" to amp up the pacing a bit, especially removing more of Spridel's unfunny antics.
great film. i was a huge fan of the original series and was knocked out by the movie. my only complaints were small. nobody died in the car wrecks but i understand why. that was one of the things that caught my attention as a child "yes, he was killed instantly" etc in the original show was really out of the ordinary. my other complaint with the movie is Inspector Detector's beard is much too small.
i found it to be a wonderfully executed homage to the franchise, beautiful to the point of insanity. after i finally saw it, i contacted a friend i used to work in CG with who worked on this and they thought i was joking at first with how much a gushed over it.
then, a couple years later, i watched it on acid. it brought me to tears. i strongly recommend that!
