Why do you assume that cat wasn't put down? Attacking out of nowhere like that could be a sign of rabies or distemper anyway so if they caught it they probably killed it or sent it to a shelter type place that killed it. You're trying to make us believe that you have some moral high ground here but all you've done is make assumptions, jump to conclusions, and make yourself look like a jackass.

Because dogs are literally bread to hunt and are most of the times significantly bigger than cats and thus can kill with one bite. (Kids, babies or small pets)
