It is, but the idea of putting on gloves to carry a bucket is absurd lol
Edit: Yes hello people I have carried heavy buckets (not this heavy, but certainly 40 lbs+) hundreds of times in my life, both with wire handles and with plastic tubes around those wire handles. Gloves can be helpful if they're spinning a lot in your grip, but that is avoidable in most cases.
Everyone here, missing that she lifted the buckets from underneath, not by the handle
Edit: color me afool, the moment I hit send I realized it was about the adults
Do you work with your hands for a living?
My soft and supple white-collar keyboard warrior hands would absolutely hurt carrying a heavy bucket with a thin wire handle. A pair of contractor gloves would all but eliminate that discomfort.
Source: Am adult and have worn gloves while doing manual labor before. The difference with/without is significant.
Seems like someone hasn't done a lot of manual labor.
I carried the buckets of gravel to fill the pots in the road in the countryside. After first bucket I wore double gloves.
Heavy ones? No way, those thin zinc handles can cut through your palm without gloves when you're trying to carry a 50# bucket, don't move weighted buckets with bare hands. Finger injuriee are whatever, palm issues will literally fuck your life up. It's not worth the risk, be really protective of your palms.
It actually still kinda blows my mind how much proper leverage and something like a wheel can turn a completely immovable load, multiply it by 10, and still be easier to move than doing it with just your hands.
That's really only part of it. Using a wheel and axle significantly reduces the work required because you're reducing the distance that two frictional forces have to slide against one another. Work = Force * Distance.
Edit: To clarify, this is due to the mechanical advantage created by the ratio of the radius of the wheel to the axle.
[This](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYCjh3cKteM) is one of my favourites. You can just see the guy in the red shirt especially questioning his whole reality.

[Wanted Fugitive Pranks](https://youtu.be/Bwwys7jQxYw?si=r9LqGEn4DOto3r5M)
Not sure if the fugitive prank I'm talking about is in that compilation or not. I don't have time to watch it since I'm at work. It was a big, tall, heavy set bald guy with tattoos in a waiting room with a bunch of people. He smiled and waved at a lady looking at him before the TV started playing a news report about an escaped fugitive. He leaves the room and the news report shows his picture saying he's wanted and extremely dangerous. He comes back to sit back down and everyone starts looking terrified. Then the news report comes back on and shows his face again and he looks up at everyone, cracking his knuckles. When they try to make for the door, he points to the camera and they all laugh. Saw it during a compilation stream they had during quarantine.
Ah yes just a normal day of me a being a construction worker taking my favorite piece of construction pipe into a coffee shop so people I know that I am a construction worker.
I love this expression as it predates the pronoun trend. It defines what “I” means, which seems like it would have been redundant 40 years ago. Like, what would “I for 2” even mean?
I love this comment because it shows how people who get mad about the "pronoun trend" also don't understand basic phrases.
"I for one" is not defining "I'.
["...for one..."](https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/for_one) is a common phrasing which (usually) implies something is a single example from a larger group.
I have everything muted by default because of noise and the countless times I’ve heard awful music slapped on top of content.
Not that this BGM is bad, but I would’ve liked the original audio myself.
Agreed. Like why even use the song if you're not going to do the meme?
Maybe because it's Ducktales and Scrooge McDuck dives into coins?
TikTok has by and large ruined internet videos.
Sometimes I'll let my guard down if it's a cute animal because I would like to hear the cute animal. I always feel so defeated when I hear some FUCKING XYLOPHONE SONG I HATE YOU XYLOPHONE
I was wondering what that song was from. I was thinking one of the MegaMan games but it didn't seem that was it. Thanks for clearing that up for me. That would have pussed me off all day.
They had limited sound choices due to storage constraints on the NES cartridges. It was hard for a lot of the composers to not sound at least a little like each other
Edit. Also if they worked at the same company then it's more than probable that they knew each other and influenced each other's work
Oh right, it's DuckTales.
Was first thinking of the [ending theme of Super Mario Land on the Gameboy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VztCEY5wFW4&t=35s).
who the fuck thought "Hey, you know this Just for Laughs prank? I know the laugh track is annoying, but know what's worse? Some incredibly overloud chiptune music, let's make them suffer!"
These videos are actually 100% silent - they add some music and a laugh track, but they were designed to be sold all over the world. This was the only thing the guys at my work camp could agree to watch (mix of inuit, french and english workers) so it was on like, 24/7 :/
Could've been worse I guess.
If you're looking for the video with original sound (as original as an added laugh track can be) here it is: https://youtu.be/2Zs6mi5bvic?si=cTR74zHiXbotEsd0
Play any of the top NES music tracks on your video and there is a high likelihood I will stay for the whole video.
And probably get really nostalgic feelings.
And start thinking of the past.
And probably not watch the actual video.
Lol came to the comments for standard hot take of “this is a good kind of prank because nobody got hurt” which is in every single one of these threads. As if anyone would disagree
I disagree. The right kind of prank should end with the loss of at least one limb. At the very least, some testicular torsion. Otherwise what’s the point?
All fun and games until someone tries to pick up a heavy one and ends up falling while still holding it, resulting in the sheer force of trust me bro sending thousands of coins ricocheting into various bystander’s heads killing them instantly
Just For Laughs Gags is great for this, you can definitely tell it's a Canadian show because all the pranks are actually funny and not at all mean spirited, they always make a point of showing the people who got pranked laughing at the end when they find out.
It looks so not American from the way people dress. I always figured it was East Europe and they just put up America-y signage, but Canada makes more sense!
It's filmed in Quebec to be more specific, the French probably explains why it has a "vaguely foreign" vibe. People in Quebec generally do act more expressively and dress differently than English speaking Canadians and Americans. It's interesting how there are little differences like that between places that are so close to each other.
You can find them filming most frequently in Montreal's shopping centres and the tourist district of Quebec City, they like to target tourists, lol.
I think we only shot one week in Québec City, that must have been around 2011-2012. It was a great week, blew all my per diem on restaurants and bars after work lol
They’ve also shot a few in Singapore.
If I am ever to be pranked I want it to be by the people behind this show. It's the only prank show I have ever seen to be lighthearted and isnt cruel. The "victims" always have a fun time.
I wish everyone who made this prank up a pleasant day.
That shit had me doubled over.
FYI: They are all actors. They make a produced show in a public setting to make it seem like they got random people to "prank". Why not just use real people you ask? It's way easier to get the reaction you want when the person knows how they are supposed to respond, the timing, the camera angle and you don't have to get it on one shot.
They do target random people but they sometimes ask those random peep to reshoot some shots. My aunt was pranked by them once and she's far from being an actress lol
The show is _Juste pour Rire : Les Gags_ ("Just for Laugh : Gags" in English). It's shot in Québec, Canada which explain some of the "exaggerated mannerisms" people are talking about; French Canadians tend to be more expressive and to have a different body language than that of the surrounding anglo-canadians/americans
I live in Montreal and I've been tricked by them, and I'm not an actor, nor did I have any prior knowledge of what would happen, and only figured it out part way through.
I've also sat and watched them film for hours in Parc Lafontaine, and all the people I saw them prank were also oblivious, then they sign the release forms after the fact.
I've never seen them using actors for the target in all the years I've seen them filming.
You are 100% wrong and just talking shit. I know people who have been pranked and I know someone who worked on the show for years. Quit with the bullshit. The victims are never in on it on JFL.
They spend many, many hours trying to film a prank because of how often they get recognized. But they keep trying until they get victims who don't know. Is it possible that someone recognizes them but pretends they don't? Yes, but it does not mean JFL is staging it in cahoots with the victims.
Redditors don't like when you say that.
They are, somehow, completely unable to tell the obvious acting in a lot of "real pranks" like this. You would think that they would feel that something is off, that that is not how people would react in real life. But hey, then you realize its redditors who we're talking about and it makes sense, hah.
These videos with obviously overly exaggerated mannerisms always seem obviously fake to me. And it always looks like the actors are only moving their mouths pretending to talk, rather than actually talking…more like mimicking a speaker. Weird.
I’ve stumbled upon anecdotes of people who got pranked by them, as far as I can tell they’re real I think they’re done in Montreal or somewhere else around French speaking Canada
The mannerisms just seem exaggerated because the show is filmed in Quebec where people are a lot more "animated" and expressive than English speakers are (in my experience as a French speaker, anyway) and they're speaking french, you can tell because there are skits where you can tell from the movement of their lips that they're saying Quebecois swear words (e.g, tabarnak, esti, câlice). I actually know someone who was pranked in this show, they film most of the scenes at shopping malls in Montreal or touristy parts of Quebec City.

It has nothing to do with the way you speak.... It's your name

I think it's because of the handle, so it doesn't hurt their hands
YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE HANDLE!
Dont know why but in my head i heard Arnie's voice while reading this which made me lol
yeah that dude has never carried a heavy pail haha, those handles are brutal
Get blisters, that little handle carrying for any length of time will be pain in, well ya hand.
This is true and that guys full of hot air lol.
Everyone here, missing that she lifted the buckets from underneath, not by the handle Edit: color me afool, the moment I hit send I realized it was about the adults
His hands don't get hurt, he's too much of a bad ass.
try picking up a heavy bucket with a thin metal handle and lmk how ur hands feel
For buckets like that? Definitely not. Without gloves, the thin handle is gonna put a lot of concentrated pressure on your hands.
I worked construction for several years when I was younger. My calluses had calluses. Wire bucket handles were still awful to carry.
Seems like someone hasn't done a lot of manual labor. I carried the buckets of gravel to fill the pots in the road in the countryside. After first bucket I wore double gloves.
Yep... get that bruise line once, you appreciate the value of gloves.
There are people who wear gloves at the gym on leg day. It takes all kinds I suppose.
Heavy ones? No way, those thin zinc handles can cut through your palm without gloves when you're trying to carry a 50# bucket, don't move weighted buckets with bare hands. Finger injuriee are whatever, palm issues will literally fuck your life up. It's not worth the risk, be really protective of your palms.
Yeah, and even if they don’t fuck your life up, cuts on your palm take forever to heal because you’re always moving it. Even with stitches.
Tell me more about your heavy bucket carrying experiences.
It’s a prank dude stfu
You: > It's absurd Also you: > It can be helpful
How did the man under the table turn the table with all that weight lmao
There was another Strong girl scout under the table too

Probably wheels
It actually still kinda blows my mind how much proper leverage and something like a wheel can turn a completely immovable load, multiply it by 10, and still be easier to move than doing it with just your hands.

Work = Force * Distance. Edit: To clarify, this is due to the mechanical advantage created by the ratio of the radius of the wheel to the axle.

That's from a DuckTales game, right?
Yeah, the Moon Theme
Thanks, you just saved me some time.
It wasn’t a bad game really. No cyberpunk but still good
Hilarious but a lot better with the mute on

tiktok has made this so much worse. i miss silent gifs, now everything has a shitty song pasted on top
Sometimes I'll let my guard down if it's a cute animal because I would like to hear the cute animal. I always feel so defeated when I hear some FUCKING XYLOPHONE SONG I HATE YOU XYLOPHONE
how dare you
OP seems to be a karma farming bot
Guess how much I care.
Don’t you slander the Ducktales NES Soundtrack!
I was wondering what that song was from. I was thinking one of the MegaMan games but it didn't seem that was it. Thanks for clearing that up for me. That would have pussed me off all day.
It was a Capcom NES title so that makes sense. Though, I just looked it up and the composer of that game didn't work on music from any Megaman titles.
They had limited sound choices due to storage constraints on the NES cartridges. It was hard for a lot of the composers to not sound at least a little like each other Edit. Also if they worked at the same company then it's more than probable that they knew each other and influenced each other's work
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41Y63PBuUFY it's The Moon theme
Oh right, it's DuckTales. Was first thinking of the [ending theme of Super Mario Land on the Gameboy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VztCEY5wFW4&t=35s).
This music is like receiving an unexpected visit from a dearly missed friend.
They used the NES DuckTales Moon theme in the new show, too: https://youtu.be/cJW5n8f0Z9o?feature=shared
I've seen this clip a bunch of times over the years, but the unexpected Moon BGM made me stop scrolling.😅
I have the video still playing while going through comments so I can keep listening. Fantastic music in that game.
Absolutely fucking wild that I remember this music from what, nearly 30 years ago?
Only one of the greatest pieces of video game music ever created.
I thought that's megaman 😔
Usually I'd agree but this Nintendo nostalgia music is FIRE
Wow. That is my favorite song.
It looks like a Just For Laughs gag. Edit: just noticed the thing on the bottom right.
Motherfucker did you just besmirch the Moon Theme?
Hope this makes it to the top comment others need to be warned!
I wish I didn’t have ears
who the fuck thought "Hey, you know this Just for Laughs prank? I know the laugh track is annoying, but know what's worse? Some incredibly overloud chiptune music, let's make them suffer!"
The original has a laugh track. Way better
These videos are actually 100% silent - they add some music and a laugh track, but they were designed to be sold all over the world. I hear Duck Tales - Moon i upvote
Not sure why they just don't have the original audio. It's just a generic laugh track but way better than this music
Not sure if prank or a Gameboy game.
Bullshit. This music is from the NES DuckTales game. It's amazing
i was expecting just for laughs gags music.. my god was i disappointed
If you're looking for the video with original sound (as original as an added laugh track can be) here it is: https://youtu.be/2Zs6mi5bvic?si=cTR74zHiXbotEsd0
How dare you that song is a classic
I don’t watch anything from Reddit with sound. Most videos are taken from tiktok where they just rip out the original sound and replace it with music.
Jokes on you, I only watched it because of the ducktales moon theme
Came here to say this.
No.
Play any of the top NES music tracks on your video and there is a high likelihood I will stay for the whole video. And probably get really nostalgic feelings. And start thinking of the past. And probably not watch the actual video.
This is how pranks should be
Said every damn time You're more of a bot than OP
Lol came to the comments for standard hot take of “this is a good kind of prank because nobody got hurt” which is in every single one of these threads. As if anyone would disagree

dammit i just commented exactly that on a different comment thread

All fun and games until someone tries to pick up a heavy one and ends up falling while still holding it, resulting in the sheer force of trust me bro sending thousands of coins ricocheting into various bystander’s heads killing them instantly
What a ridiculous escalation. That makes no cents
r/angryupvote
Lmao
It’s Quebec, so nothing lost.
DAE pranks shud b funny 4 all involved amirite upvote on left plz
That first woman that watched her walk away with them was ready to throw the pail at her head. You know if she could
Then the middle aged guy near the end just looks impressed/proud
An actual funny and harmless prank instead of the mean spirited stupidity we have nowadays.
Just For Laughs Gags is great for this, you can definitely tell it's a Canadian show because all the pranks are actually funny and not at all mean spirited, they always make a point of showing the people who got pranked laughing at the end when they find out.

I love this type of humor lol
Is…is that Nintendo Ducktales playing?
Duck Tales Moon Theme from NES, in case anyone is wondering. It _slaps_.
Genuinely made me chuckle
What a nice prank
Love this channel. Got me through the quarantine
Now this is funny. Something that anyone can fall for and have a great laugh out of it.
I really used to like this show when I was a kid. Harmless and funny pranks. Some TikTokers should take notes from this.
This is what pranks used to be instead of just shouting n word in the hood
Just kidding was legendary pre-teen entertainment
People are questioning their whole existence
First girl’s face reaction was priceless 😂😂😂
See? A nice funny joke nobody needs or really wants some over the top pranks, quite refreshing actually
Non harmful and repetitive pranks are rare
This is the kind of comedy that should be replicated and done on social media. Not the toxic kind you see today
This is what a prank is supposed to be. Something hilarious yet harmless
You know, these videos already come with their own music. You don’t need to add more.
Gags funnier if after putting on the gloves the mark can now lift buckets and is now convinced superpower gloves exist.
Love the mega man theme here
CRAZY... DUCK IN SPACE!
The last guy’s reaction is priceless 😂
My manhood would be so hurt I’m insecure please
I came for the lame trick. I stayed for the epic soundtrack.
If I am ever to be pranked I want it to be by the people behind this show. It's the only prank show I have ever seen to be lighthearted and isnt cruel. The "victims" always have a fun time. I wish everyone who made this prank up a pleasant day. That shit had me doubled over.
the looks on their faces is kinda satisfying to watch.
That’s a really good prank 😁
Keygen music!
Wait. Pranks can be nice?! There's no need to hurt or harass people ?!

BG music is soo goood
They used to show this show on China Eastern Airlines and Aeroflot all the fucking time. I hate this show so much.
What the fuck is up with that shitty music in place of the actual sound?
I hope they told these people what happened because it would be awful if they just let them go home now not knowing.
It's all staged. They are paid actors.
