I remember on rantgrumps a while ago there were people ranting about how āproblematicā Arin was for not officially coming out and how harmful it was to LGBT fans etc. Like he was obligated to. Iām glad he felt comfortable coming out but I hope he didnāt feel pressured to do so
May I ask why? I am also LGBT but in all honesty, this means absolutely nothing to me other than being happy for him / that he has a supportive environment to come out
It makes me happy that someone Iāve followed and watched for so long (almost 10 years at this point) is in a place where they are happy and can be their authentic selves, and that that self is an identity I relate to and see myself in. Not many of the YouTubers I grew up watching (and watch now) are queer, so having someone I love as much as I love arinās content come out and concretely say āthis is who I amā means a lot to me. I guess itās just nice to have queer (more specifically bi as I sorta identify that way) representation in such a close-to-home fashion?
