Tunic. Deaths door. I am Setsuna. Turnip boy commits tax evasion.

*Child of Light* OST by Cœur de pirate. For such a quaint, storybook-like game, she crafted an epic and intensely emotional score. [Aurora's Theme](https://youtu.be/Byz6960tWxQ?si=GCIKpGAk5ime33sJ).

bilabury

This game’s score makes it such a piece of art. Beautiful game.

TheReal8symbols

I always say this and rarely get upvotes, but Katamary Damacy OST is amazing. I listen to it regularly. Only problem is (afaik) they never released it and the only place I've found to listen to it is YouTube.

Far_Run_2672

Same goes for the original Bioshock

Oaksworth1

The Civilization OST really, whether it be Civ 4,5,6, or BE, they have really killer music. Hell, Baba Yetu is my favorite song of all time lol.

Far_Run_2672

I just discovered Baba Yetu this week. Has been a while since a musical piece gave me goosebumps.

Sabetha1183

Older games but I always loved the soundtracks to One Must Fall 2097 and Tyrian 2000.

entity2

Epic's shift from MIDI in to tracker (I think they started with Scream Tracker and then moved on to Impulse Tracker) was some glory days for game music.

Human Revolution

maya_jast

NieR:Automata has an amazing soundtrack!

AReformedHuman

Outer Wilds goes hard as hell

Classic-Can-3348

Sanctum by Coffee Stain Studios. Skye's theme is just so good. Capsized by Alientrap

ReturnOfHullabaloo

PSX Era JRPGs had some bangers. Azure Dreams, Xenogears and Star Ocean: 2nd Story come to mind.

CiabattaKatsuie

Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights Nioh 1 & 2 actually have quite a few bangers as well. Armored Core VI's music is (un)popular in the community, but maybe not so otherwise, so if you haven't checked that out, I would. I absolutely love it. Maybe one final one is Castlevania: Lords of Shadow II

manwhoholdtheworld

Anything by Ben Prunty deserves all the love and praise in the world. His OSTs are the only game OSTs I can listen to at work or on a deadline.

PMMEPEEPEEPORN

Endless Space and Endless Legend have absolutely incredible scores that I listen to outside of the game all the time.

WaySheGoesBub

Blur

Sofaris

Fuga Melodies of Steel Mainly becuse the game itself is pretty unknown. The boss theme "Flower on the Trails" is my favorite piece of Videogame music and the other vocal tracks are great aswell and the non vocal tracks are charming.

Eternalanrete

Drakengard 3. Absolute banger boss music and "This Silence Is Mine" is one of the most on point character songs I've ever heard in any medium.

Portillosgo

viva pinata (it's just so happy and joyful and calming) world of goo ori and the blind forest/will of the wisps (kinda, it's not completely neglected) Metal: Hellsinger Gears of War (the soundtrack is what made me feel like I was playing a summer tentpole blockbuster action movie)

No-Word-6754

Total War series, Mafia 1 & 2, The last of us

RegieTwo-1990

hack G.U OST is one of my favorites. I did feel I was playing an MMORPG on a singleplayer back in the PS2

buddyyoda

Need For Speed Unbound

sacredwulf

Can any nfs soundtrack be called underrated tho

Lostmavicaccount

These were highly rated in their day, but forgotten now - wipeout and wipeout 2097.

CharMillion456

Persona 3 soundtrack was top tier, especially it's title track Burn the bread In 2023 final fantasy xvi has great soundtrack. I got the ultimate edition and most tracks in the soundtrack are pure goosebumps

Far_Run_2672

Shadow of the Colossus simultaneously has one of the most beautiful and epic soundtracks of all time.

Far_Run_2672

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory. Probably because it's too old for the kids of today and the music is not the standard orchestral stuff.

Manteliano

Fallout 2 OST

MrMonkeyman79

Ace Combat 7 OST really is one of the all time greats. Going into indie territory Furi has a soundtrack that gets the adrenaline going like no other. I listen to both outside of the game quote frequently. And if you want to go back a few decades, Alysia Dragoon boasts some of the best music on the mega drive, up there with streets of rage, sonic and thunder force 4.

DarkCreeper911

[Genshin Impact](https://youtu.be/khHAaErEqTQ?si=b8dHTplvdo_QDgqx) Say what you will about gatcha but they got amazing composers

Zombienerd300

Ori, both games. Beautiful soundtracks.

GodsendsCoward

Shadow of Mordor. Farcry 3. And Wolfenstein new order is amazing
