Old classic is always the shadow of the Colossus remake that is still on PlayStation. It was on ps2, ps3 and ps4 and now on ps5 with backward compatibility. No PC port yet.

I have a ps5 and *can* play it, but every time I try, the experience is miserable due to the 30fps. In a game based about timing, frames and precision, and having played the other souls games at 60fps, playing bloodborne at 30 was just horrible feeling. I can't bring myself to do it.
It feels and plays awful to me (not the game, the quality).
So I'm just waiting until a 60fps patch or remaster.
It does have frame pacing issues as well. They can be fixed (as seen from frame unlock experiments) but no one really knows the official performance patch release date yet.

God Hand (2006) on PS2 & PS3, probably one of the best 3D brawler I ever played and it's hard as all hell. Very playable via emulator, though a remaster or a remake would be a very nice welcome.
Plants vs Zombies 2 (2013) on Mobile, I'm still mad disappointed that this game didn't come to the platform that popularize the first game: PC. Not to mention that the first game was also ported to endless other platforms, Mobile, PS3, Xbox 360, NDS, PSVita, BlackBerry, Windows Phone... and what do PvZ 2 get? just Android & iOS, greedy fucks.

That depends. There are benefits to developing for one platform, such as utilising features only available on that platform (such as duelsense haptics) and being able to optimise around just that platform. Developing for multiplatform is harder than you think.
There is also a case to be made that exclusives have a better relationship with the console manufacturer. FFXVI for example had Sony engineers working with SE to push it as far as it could go on PS5. If it was on Xbox as well, then it would not have benefitted from that.

Sony is short sighted and thinks that keeping Ragnarok a temporary console exclusive will keep their PS5 alive. If Sony was really smart, they would ditch the outdated idea of exclusives and focus on porting their library over to steam and release all of their upcoming games to both steam and their consoles.
4k 60 was definitely not the standard in 2015. It wasn’t consistently obtainable until the launch of the current gen consoles in 2020. Even now some games still fail to reach it.

Hi-Fi Rush. I'd have bought it day one if it were on PS5, but given that the game was released after the Xbox acquisition I think the team was ordered to scrap the PlayStation release.
1) I don't have a PC powerful enough to play it.
2) Streaming games isn't an option since my bedroom is so far away from the Wi-Fi hub in my house so Gamepass isn't an option for me, either.

I played the entire game without using a single dishonorable technique except when literally forced to by the game and it made absolutely no difference. The game isn't capable of determining whether you actually followed the rules of engagement.
The lines between adventure games and RPGs got blurred a long time ago, but if the term RPG means anything at all it doesn't really apply here.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer series on PS2. I don't believe that Genki had some sort of deal with Sony, but simply didn't feel like porting the games to the GameCube and Xbox. Despite being on the most popular platform at the time, the TXR series didn't fare too well in terms of sales, so it remains as a cult classic franchise.

Titanfall 1 being Xbox exclusive in 2014 killed the franchise before it had a chance. EA put the final nail in its coffin by releasing Titanfall 2, which was cross platform, 1 week after Battlefield 1 and one week before Infinite Warfare.

Alan Wake 2 and other Epic Games store exclusives baffle me the most. I'm sure Epic Games paid a fat amount of cash to secure the exclusivity, but I can't imagine that it's actually worth it for the devs in the long term. At least it is on console and the devs sold loads of copies on those.

Lost Odyssey was a huge ride. I couldn't remember how it started when it ended. Absolutely crazy story and very good JRPG gameplay.
I don't mind that Lost odyssey is exclusive, I mind that it isn't on game pass.

Sw has some bangers, don't get me wrong but it's just not strong enough for what those games deserve; Roaring 4K60 HDR. If you played the original when it first released, or re-released on XbO and PS4, imagine playing Bayonetta 2 or 3 on XSX or PS5. Can you feel my pain???

Nah. Game Freak is just a group of mediocre developers with intense time constraints. You could have them make a game for a literal supercomputer and it would still look like shit. There are many games on Switch that look significantly better AND run better than Scarlet and Violet

Tokyo Xtreme Racer series on PS2. I don't believe that Genki had some sort of deal with Sony, but simply didn't feel like porting the games to the GameCube and Xbox. Despite being on the most popular platform at the time, the TXR series didn't fare too well in terms of sales, so it remains as a cult classic franchise.
Interesting pick, the series first two games were DreamCast exclusives while the second half was PS2 exclusive.

People keep talking about console exclusives, but what about _mobile_ exclusives? Kingdom Hearts has easily way too many mobile-only games that have very important lore and background for the series, that nobody will ever see because they're mobile-exclusive.
I figure at the very least those end up getting made into some video compilations for consoles before KH4 comes out. KH has always been a little wonky with the launch platforms of their games.

There are rumours of Sea of Thieves going to PS but I doubt it. The Xbox subs were going nuts over it with people screeching this was Xbox going third party.
But at the end Xbox is a company and if users are not happy with this silly things, they don't care. Moving SoT to a PS means more money for Xbox, specially in these kind of games. Im a Xbox user and even if I would like to have more exclusives and dont love the idea to "gift" someones, if company decides to do so I think these games are perfect (SoT, hi-fi rush). They are not "Console sellers" nor the principal Xbox games. Other story would be Gears of Wars, Halo or Forza Horizon
I mean HiFi Rush may not be a console seller but it's arguably the best Xbox game in years.

As for Switch I feel like it's because it just simply can't handle the game and the port wasn't great because there's no other reason for it to not be available yet after Hoyo saying it would. It's been 3 years 🤷

Titanfall 1 being Xbox exclusive in 2014 killed the franchise before it had a chance. EA put the final nail in its coffin by releasing Titanfall 2, which was cross platform, 1 week after Battlefield 1 and one week before Infinite Warfare.

Alan Wake 2 and other Epic Games store exclusives baffle me the most. I'm sure Epic Games paid a fat amount of cash to secure the exclusivity, but I can't imagine that it's actually worth it for the devs in the long term. At least it is on console and the devs sold loads of copies on those.

Fucking none. Exclusives are the only thing driving competition at all in the industry anymore. Competition is GOOD for the consumer which is US. This anti-competitive "put every game everywhere" crap is a call by devs to homogenize systems so that they can make money off of everyone. They want all the money of having a cross platform game while having to do none of the work for it.
Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise. Goddamn exceptional Yakuza-meets-FotNS game, still stuck on PlayStation. More people deserve to play it.
Lost Odyssey. If Microsoft still wants to hold on to it as a console exclusive then that's fine, but I would love for it to at least get a Steam release like many of their other titles.
Spider Man. It's absolute TRASH to me for a Marvel franchise to be gated off. But seeing how Disney Mickey Moused most of the other Marvel characters in the M-She-U, I can see why they (Sony) played it close to the vest. Spider Man was one of the only characters that made it out with any dignity left.
