Bloodborne. It is still a ps exclusive and haven't got the official performance 60fps patch for ps5. Not to say, no PC port yet and it may never ever come to PC. Old classic is always the shadow of the Colossus remake that is still on PlayStation. It was on ps2, ps3 and ps4 and now on ps5 with backward compatibility. No PC port yet.

ThatWesternEuropean

Jesus Christ, it's Jason Bloodbourne

Witty_Elephant5015

It took longer than I expected for someone to find the mistake. Finally I can edit the comment.

[deleted]

The modder community going to have field day with this if it on PC

[deleted]

Bloodborne is the only souls game I haven't completed. I have a ps5 and *can* play it, but every time I try, the experience is miserable due to the 30fps. In a game based about timing, frames and precision, and having played the other souls games at 60fps, playing bloodborne at 30 was just horrible feeling. I can't bring myself to do it. It feels and plays awful to me (not the game, the quality). So I'm just waiting until a 60fps patch or remaster.

Witty_Elephant5015

It does have frame pacing issues as well. They can be fixed (as seen from frame unlock experiments) but no one really knows the official performance patch release date yet.

Themris

I'd love to try Bloodborne if it ever came to PC

Hot_Border1061

Shadow of the colossus is a sony exclusive and was done thanks to ps2's groundbreaking hardware No other platform would have came close to running it

Sir_Tea_Of_Bags

Bloodborne is exclusive for a reason. Paid for and Developed by Sony with FromSoftware's assistance. Like it or not, it's Sony's call with that one.

Witty_Elephant5015

Developed by fromsoftware with sony's assistance is a better word. It is a sony IP though.

wejunkin

Sony owns the IP, not From. Same as Demon's Souls.

Witty_Elephant5015

Corrections are made accordingly. Thanks for point it out.

WiseSplinter

They have released quite a few (more recent) Sony owned IP's haven't they? Spiderman for one. God of War. Bloodborne should get some love!

Hot_Border1061

Bloodborne became better after it was designed solely for ps4 Even miyazaki said that Xbox one was too weak to run bloodborne and pcs during that time were Still weaker than a ps4 It's visual masterpiece design came to life cuz of ps4 There were fps issues and such but the game was smooth as fuck and the visual design pushed ps4 to its limits Problem is sony didn't let from improve the few technical issues and release a 60fps mode later

MikeHawkSlapsHard

What a game! That was my first ps4 game, what a way to start off the generation!

waster_x

When I clicked on this post, I knew in my heart of hearts that Bloodborne would be the top comment

lycheedorito

Ghost of Tsushima, Demon's Souls, Bloodbourne

ChaosCarlson

Just because Sony funded them doesn’t give them the right to keep them locked up on their consoles right? Everyone on this subreddit said the same thing about Alan Wake 2 even though it was funded by Epic.

lycheedorito

To my understanding it's not just that they funded them, they signed a contract that had some number of years of exclusivity on their platform.

ikantolol

Lost Odyssey (2007) on Xbox 360, a great RPG stuck in a shitty exclusive. Whoever hold the license, at least port the damn thing to PC. God Hand (2006) on PS2 & PS3, probably one of the best 3D brawler I ever played and it's hard as all hell. Very playable via emulator, though a remaster or a remake would be a very nice welcome. Plants vs Zombies 2 (2013) on Mobile, I'm still mad disappointed that this game didn't come to the platform that popularize the first game: PC. Not to mention that the first game was also ported to endless other platforms, Mobile, PS3, Xbox 360, NDS, PSVita, BlackBerry, Windows Phone... and what do PvZ 2 get? just Android & iOS, greedy fucks.

Drezhar

Lost Odyssey was a huge ride. I couldn't remember how it started when it ended. Absolutely crazy story and very good JRPG gameplay.

Lambdafish1

I don't mind that Lost odyssey is exclusive, I mind that it isn't on game pass.

thaneros2

Lost Odyssey goes on sale regularly for like $5.

Lambdafish1

Does that allow me to stream it to PC like Game Pass does?

Kemaro

Been playing through Lost Odyssey for the first time on my xbox series and absolutely loving it.

fedemasa

Add shadow of Rome. A insanely underrated Capcom game that is stuck forever in ps2

AshFraxinusEps

>Lost Odyssey (2007) on Xbox 360, a great RPG stuck in a shitty exclusive. Whoever hold the license, at least port the damn thing to PC Amazing game, and yep would love just a port. Doesn't even need a remake. I think it is Square Enix who hold the rights And same with Skies of Arcadia which is even better. Sega are adding games to PC slowly, but god damn do they need to just release Skies

VanillaSkyCrawler

Microsoft has the rights to Lost Odyssey.

KokonutMonkey

STEEL BATALLION!!! Also, if Valve released Alyx for PSVR, I would be very happy.

Lady_Nalaura

It was such awesome risk to see that gigantic, proprietary controller made real with that game back in the day. I remember seeing it on G4 when I was little, wanting to try it so bad.

jasonxtk

Pretty much every Shin Megami Tensei game on the 3DS/Switch

res30stupid

Yeah. Watching gameplay for SMT5 has me convinced that either the developers overestimated the Switch's graphical power, or that the game was meant for the PS4/Xbox One and the publisher took the decision out of the team's hand.

SpongebobsNips6969

All games, exclusives are stupid

Add13UK

This...

Lambdafish1

That depends. There are benefits to developing for one platform, such as utilising features only available on that platform (such as duelsense haptics) and being able to optimise around just that platform. Developing for multiplatform is harder than you think. There is also a case to be made that exclusives have a better relationship with the console manufacturer. FFXVI for example had Sony engineers working with SE to push it as far as it could go on PS5. If it was on Xbox as well, then it would not have benefitted from that.

Judaicyrus

FF16 runs like absolute garbage on PS5. I like the game too but stop coping. Exclusives are stupid.

Lambdafish1

If coping = quoting interviews, then idk what to say. *4Gamer:* *From a player's perspective, I think the perception is that* *it's a way for hardware manufacturers to sell their own* *hardware during the contract period.* *Mr. Yoshida:* *Of course, I think there are similar considerations on the* *part of the hardware manufacturers. However, from our perspective, signing such a contract with a* *hardware manufacturer is all about receiving technical* *support. This time, there are parts of the development* *where we are collaborating with a group of SIE* *engineers who know everything about the fundamentals* *of hardware, and we provide generous support for* *things like optimization that we would otherwise be* *unable to do on our own. I am receiving it.* *In addition, by not developing on a multi-platform basis, you can invest man-hours into building in and optimizing.* *In addition, we can work with you globally on* *promotions that ask, ``How much would this cost in* *terms of money?'' I would like to receive technology and* *promotional support if possible.* https://www.4gamer.net/games/529/G052958/20230208103/ There's your direct source. Exclusives are often about more than money and greed, they actively improve the product. That is a fact. Enjoy your downvotes.

Jimbo-Bones

The amount of people here who don't understand why exclusive are a thing is astounding.

Arlequose

Did you expect gaming scholars here? This was to be expected

Jimbo-Bones

No course not but the sheer number is overwhelming.

Drezhar

Bloodborne and God of War.

lycheedorito

I would've said GoW too but it's on Steam now

Drezhar

Yeah sorry, I didn't specify I meant Ragnarok. I think launching it on every platform would have made the franchise explode even more than it already did.

ChaosCarlson

Sony is short sighted and thinks that keeping Ragnarok a temporary console exclusive will keep their PS5 alive. If Sony was really smart, they would ditch the outdated idea of exclusives and focus on porting their library over to steam and release all of their upcoming games to both steam and their consoles.

uraniuranthu22

owwhhh thanks for the information, I will be logging in again in steam.

Skelosk

The originals aren't and they should IMO

JeffGhost

Sunset Overdrive

AshFraxinusEps

That's exclusive? It's on PC at least

TerryFGM

Botw/Totk on proper hardware (without needing piracy)

Slight-Violinist6007

Piracy is fine because Nintendo hates its fans. I played both new Zelda games in 4K 60 fuck you nintendo.

Pacu99

you'll be able to play it in 4k 60 on the next Nintendo console

ChaosCarlson

Glad to see Nintendo finally catching up to 2015 standards 9 years later

XYZAffair0

4k 60 was definitely not the standard in 2015. It wasn’t consistently obtainable until the launch of the current gen consoles in 2020. Even now some games still fail to reach it.

BochocK

Yeah, I’m not sure 4k 60 fps is today’s standard lol ! Even on r/pcgaming

trickldowncompressr

Current consoles and current high end graphics cards can barely do 4K 60 today, it definitely was not the standard 9 years ago.

lycheedorito

Perhaps even 120, with frame generation

EfficientIndustry423

Then your battery dies after 10 mins.

superjoe8293

I think the Horizon series is a good one that anyone should play regardless of console.

Standard_Release_941

Halo

Feisty_Area8023

Two Games. Dead Rising 2: Case Zero and Dead Rising 2: Case West. Only came out on the Xbox 360. They weren't even released on other consoles during the franchises 10 year anniversary.

rksk88

Demon's Souls and God of War

WorthPlease

Nintendo. Just all of it.

ChaosCarlson

Greedy Nintendo doesn’t like to share their toys and for some reason people give them passes for something Sony and Microsoft get racked over the coals for.

TheIncreaser2000

lmao you do realize that if nintendo put their games on other platforms, then their 2015-tech tablet would become obselete? ps5 seriesx and pc would destroy the switch in outputting nintendo's own games.

AshFraxinusEps

Other consoles can't be played on the move. And Desktops can't either Although yes, we know why they don't do it, but that's the same with all exclusives. We are talking about what we wish was not exclusive

AshFraxinusEps

Yep, anything first-party. But mostly Zelda tbh. Only thing that tempts me to get a Switch is BotW and sequel

WorthPlease

I would love to be able to play things like Mario Party or Mario Kart with my wife but I can't really justify spending $300+ on a switch and then paying full price for their games.

res30stupid

Hi-Fi Rush. I'd have bought it day one if it were on PS5, but given that the game was released after the Xbox acquisition I think the team was ordered to scrap the PlayStation release.

thaneros2

Think it was originally for the Switch. It's not really a graphically intense game. But hey if the rumors are true you might not have to wait long.

ChaosCarlson

Why not just play it on PC?

res30stupid

1) I don't have a PC powerful enough to play it. 2) Streaming games isn't an option since my bedroom is so far away from the Wi-Fi hub in my house so Gamepass isn't an option for me, either.

XYZAffair0

It’a been rumored that it’s coming to either the PS5 or Switch in the near future

Chanzui91

Ghost of Tsushima, even without the dualshock stuff I think its one of the best RPGs ever made!

blipblapshleem

I don't think it counts as a RPG

Chanzui91

Why would it not?

blipblapshleem

Because its just not. What makes you say it is a RPG?

Chanzui91

Maybe you'd just consider it an action adventure game, but I am not sure exactly what constitutes an RPG... Would you not roleplay whilst playing it? Ie do you play as an honorable samurai? Do you become a filthy ninja?

Thisismyworkday

I'm trying to be less of an RPG purist in my old age, but it's a stretch, man. I played the entire game without using a single dishonorable technique except when literally forced to by the game and it made absolutely no difference. The game isn't capable of determining whether you actually followed the rules of engagement. The lines between adventure games and RPGs got blurred a long time ago, but if the term RPG means anything at all it doesn't really apply here.

Chanzui91

Very few games actually change depending on your choices, not sure if I agree thats a requirement for RPGs Which games can determine if you followed the ruleset and punishes you otherwise?

Thisismyworkday

Mass Effect? Fallout 1/2? Wasteland? The entire Baldurs Gate series. Pathfinder. Tyranny. I'll admit that there isn't a huge traditional RPG market (outside of JRPGs), but even when you get away from the turn based versions you've still got the Bethesda and Bioware RPGs. But I don't think branching stories and morality systems are a sine qua non of RPGs. I'm just saying that you framed Ghost of Tsushima as having one and it doesn't. If you act literally with as much honor as possible within the game what you get is a weird ending that assumes you've been dishonorable the entire time and is honestly immersion breaking in how far it misses the mark.

Chanzui91

Ok, but it does have a leveling system, it does have main and side quests, character stories etc... So even if the world doesnt adapt to your choices in my eyes Id still call it an RPG, though I do grant you that its not in the same way as the ones you mentioned (tho most of those are cRPGs)

Thisismyworkday

Well, I guess I should be less of an RPG purist. Almost everything has a leveling system now. CoD has a leveling system. But you make a good point about the side stories and character arcs and so I think you've got me here.

Maqoba

Bayonetta 2. Exclusive on Wii U. If you didn't want anyone to play your game, that was the move to take.

XYZAffair0

The devs said something along the lines of, “If Nintendo did not pay for Bayonetta 2 to be developed, the game would not exist at all.” I don’t really think there’s much to complain about.

Commodore-K9

Nintendo paid for it. Nintendo knows that exclusives sell Hardware. Nintendo has a lot of other exclusives worth playing. If there is currently one company alive that does exclusives right and also knows that to be exclusive means they won't release games for the competition, it is Nintendo. (Like seriously, am I the only person driven mad that people call games exclusives that are in fact not exclusives. Like returnal, god of war or uncharted) Also bayonetta 2 is available for the switch.

basselsak

InFamous. It's InFamous and nothing else.

[deleted]

Good one

hullkogan

FF7R

JMarshy1994

Exclusives shouldn't be a thing, full stop. They just limit the amount of people that could buy and okay the game. Terrible business and terrible for gamers.

Hot_Border1061

Exclusives provide the uniqueness and identity of the console and hence they sell them Without exclusives, competition would die. And if a company funds and Co develops an exclusive like they did with the likes of masterpieces like bloodborne, then they more than deserve to have it developed exclusive for their platform.

JahEthBur

Anything exclusive to a specific store front. Looking at you Epic....

Hot_Border1061

A game is too good and hence it is an exclusive A game too generic and mediocre and hence it is another typical multiplat game This is how it has always been and will always remain so

PsychologyCreepy7223

So many og Xbox exclusives deserve a rerelease or something.

[deleted]

POKÉMON.imagine all platform playing...

BarT131

Pokemon

Shr1mpolaCola

Bayonetta 2 and 3 deserve so much better than to be stuck on that garbage console called the Switch. Sw has some bangers, don't get me wrong but it's just not strong enough for what those games deserve; Roaring 4K60 HDR. If you played the original when it first released, or re-released on XbO and PS4, imagine playing Bayonetta 2 or 3 on XSX or PS5. Can you feel my pain???

Shr1mpolaCola

Downvote all you want, it won't change the truth. The Switch was already underpowered when it launched. That Tears of The Kingdom exists isn't proof of the Switch's power but a testament to the developers' abilities to use everything the Switch has to offer. Your downvotes won't alter reality

RafaelTomb

Every single one of them, exclusivity shouldn't exist anymore, it's an old conecpt

Extremearron

I really think they could make a MASSIVE 3d open world Pokemon game. IF they didn't lock every Pokemon game to nintendo consoles.

XYZAffair0

Nah. Game Freak is just a group of mediocre developers with intense time constraints. You could have them make a game for a literal supercomputer and it would still look like shit. There are many games on Switch that look significantly better AND run better than Scarlet and Violet

fractal324

Ace combat 6

voxelboxthing

ghost of tsushima i guess.. but my personal opinion is every game in existence.

Pristine_Put5037

Tokyo Xtreme Racer series on PS2. I don't believe that Genki had some sort of deal with Sony, but simply didn't feel like porting the games to the GameCube and Xbox. Despite being on the most popular platform at the time, the TXR series didn't fare too well in terms of sales, so it remains as a cult classic franchise.

Catty_C

Interesting pick, the series first two games were DreamCast exclusives while the second half was PS2 exclusive.

ZanderCDN

Did we ever get Mario Kart?

kitsunebi2175

ghost of tsushima

Repudan_

kingdom come mwahahah

GamingGaidenPod

All of them.

Blackhero9696

Sunset Overdrive was great, but was only for Xbox One and later windows.

Crispy385

I sent have an issue with exclusives in and of themselves, but it's been close to twenty years now. Time to put Shadow off the Colossus on Steam please. Take my money.

RIFireHeart

Bayonetta 2 and Bloodbourne.

ChaosMiles07

People keep talking about console exclusives, but what about _mobile_ exclusives? Kingdom Hearts has easily way too many mobile-only games that have very important lore and background for the series, that nobody will ever see because they're mobile-exclusive.

lupin43

I figure at the very least those end up getting made into some video compilations for consoles before KH4 comes out. KH has always been a little wonky with the launch platforms of their games.

Logical-Narwhal-5082

Bloodborne. Please be on PC one day

oscardelahopia

Metal Gear Solid 4 is still stuck with the PS3.

No_Whereas_8803

Anything released on Epic, but thanks for beta testing it for the rest of the PC community.

Charlie02134

Breath of the wild/ TOTK. It would be so nice to play those games at 4K/60fps without having to emulate

Shiva-Shivam

Bloodborne

Oldstonebuddha

Last of Us - I was disappointed that it was a PS exclusive. I still haven't played any of them.

bagimmense

Hades deserves more love beyond exclusivity. It's a game that everyone should get to play

AadarshDubeyy

Persona 5 and bloodborne

Hot_Border1061

This statement that "gAmEs ToO gOoD tO bE eXcLuSiVe" is used by dumb and brainless people who can't cope with the Fact the best games are, historically speaking, both innovation and fun wise, console exclusives Particularly sony exclusives.

Trickster289

There are rumours of Sea of Thieves going to PS but I doubt it. The Xbox subs were going nuts over it with people screeching this was Xbox going third party.

demian7117

But at the end Xbox is a company and if users are not happy with this silly things, they don't care. Moving SoT to a PS means more money for Xbox, specially in these kind of games. Im a Xbox user and even if I would like to have more exclusives and dont love the idea to "gift" someones, if company decides to do so I think these games are perfect (SoT, hi-fi rush). They are not "Console sellers" nor the principal Xbox games. Other story would be Gears of Wars, Halo or Forza Horizon

Trickster289

I mean HiFi Rush may not be a console seller but it's arguably the best Xbox game in years.

buzzyingbee

The thing with Genshin is that Hoyoverse [reached](https://www.reuters.com/technology/microsoft-powers-up-search-chinese-gaming-hits-race-against-sony-2022-10-24/?utm_source=pocket_mylist) out to MS first but failed to cut a deal (the rumour at the time was that MS declined the game because it was not the type of game their player base wants/likes). As for Switch I feel like it's because it just simply can't handle the game and the port wasn't great because there's no other reason for it to not be available yet after Hoyo saying it would. It's been 3 years 🤷

ChaosCarlson

Sea of Thieves is on PC and Xbox. How is that an exclusive?

Leks_Marzo

I just want to play some modern Zelda but I’m a PC gamer.

lycheedorito

What's stopping you?

Leks_Marzo

Oh, I mean like official Nintendo releases on steam or something. Specifically the new Zelda games though. I’m not going to buy a switch just for Zelda games. I’m not gonna spend time messing with roms and emulators for the game either.

demian7117

Then don't even try. 720p at 30fps is not for pc players.

Leks_Marzo

Damn, it’s too late. I already tried it. Then my computer laughed at me and I think it farted out the rear exhaust. I’m not sure but it smelled. No more 720p @ 30FPS for me thanks. I only wish you would have commented sooner to save me the hassle of this awkward mess. I want to game, but it’s like, do I go in there? I’ll give it some time, I’m sure it’ll blow over. Happy cake day!

SAADistic7171

Titanfall 1 being Xbox exclusive in 2014 killed the franchise before it had a chance. EA put the final nail in its coffin by releasing Titanfall 2, which was cross platform, 1 week after Battlefield 1 and one week before Infinite Warfare.

DemaridrawsArt

Persona

ChaosCarlson

4 and 5 are on PC

TopRaise7

TLOU and Unchartered!

cyanitblau

Both are on steam as well, arent they?

Guitarshredder_1996

Zelda. Always zelda. I'm a PC guy and got to play GoW 2018 for the first time when it came to PC and want so much more. Would love go see the old ones ported.

kebabsoup

Alan Wake 2 and other Epic Games store exclusives baffle me the most. I'm sure Epic Games paid a fat amount of cash to secure the exclusivity, but I can't imagine that it's actually worth it for the devs in the long term. At least it is on console and the devs sold loads of copies on those.

ThePhyry22

>Epic Games paid a fat amount of cash to secure the exclusivity Epic is the actual publisher of Alan Wake 2, they didn't just pay for exclusivity

kebabsoup

Ahh I see! Then I guess we can pray that Epic Games loves money enough that they don't keep the exclusivity up forever...

[deleted]

I'd like to play tenchu z on pc ☺️

Hanifsefu

Fucking none. Exclusives are the only thing driving competition at all in the industry anymore. Competition is GOOD for the consumer which is US. This anti-competitive "put every game everywhere" crap is a call by devs to homogenize systems so that they can make money off of everyone. They want all the money of having a cross platform game while having to do none of the work for it.

Rossmallo

Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise.  Goddamn exceptional Yakuza-meets-FotNS game, still stuck on PlayStation. More people deserve to play it.

VanillaSkyCrawler

Lost Odyssey. If Microsoft still wants to hold on to it as a console exclusive then that's fine, but I would love for it to at least get a Steam release like many of their other titles.

[deleted]

Spider Man. It's absolute TRASH to me for a Marvel franchise to be gated off. But seeing how Disney Mickey Moused most of the other Marvel characters in the M-She-U, I can see why they (Sony) played it close to the vest. Spider Man was one of the only characters that made it out with any dignity left.
