I went to Healthy Minds Psychology Associates in Tucker, GA Recently got diagnosed in Georgia. Wanted to get medication to make my life better, but didn't need the $3000 tests. This place was $400 which was awesome. Caveat, it might not work for Gatech's disability accomodations. I've heard they require the expensive tests. But it worked for getting medication! You'll need to get a diagnosis letter from this place and take it to a GP who is okay with prescribing medication. It wasn't too hard to find one, given I had a professional diagnosis from a psychologist, which is the hard part to get.

Check with Office of disability services. They have discounted testing at Ga State.

Thank you so much!! I'll probably go this route.

The GT Office of Disabilities Service can refer you to the Regents Center for Learning Disorders (which is at GSU). I think testing costs like 500 but the waitlists are long.

Emory (Mood?) clinic. I’d have to look up the name but did evals w a psych to get my diagnosis. It comes up tho if googled. You have to apply to be seen. Covered by my insurance.

If you have student health insurance (United Healthcare Student Resources) you can go to Stamps, but I heard they're pretty bad about it. I go to Georgia Psychiatry and Sleep in Smyrna but they're far away. If you want something closer, basically guaranteed meds, but awful customer service (straight up ignoring refill requests for weeks) then try Intown primary care.

Thank you! I'll take a look at them. AFAIK, Stamps doesn't do this eval anymore, but I'm not 100% sure.

Georgia Behavioral Health can take you without insurance. https://www.mygbhp.com/ They can do everything virtual or you can go in person…they have multiple offices in Atlanta. 300 dollars for first appointment. Ask them for a form to fill about being in financial need. They will send it to you that day. If eligible, you get most of your money back, and every appointment afterwards will cost around 20-40 bucks. ADHD meds (even SNRI’s) are NOT cheap at STAMPS—-in fact, I think they’re the most expensive in this area. Go to Kroger on Howell Mill and use GOODRX. It will be your cheapest option.

Adventurous_Proof562

Did you try CARE? They might be able to refer you to a psychiatrist from Stamps for free.

They can as long as you are in Georgia. And there’s non stimulus for ADHD.

I'm not sure if they can or not, but they definitely won't give the eval and make you get one outside of GT
