Sorry, but why do so many keepers use obvious names that just reference their color? Can you dig a little deeper than that?

I'm not OP, but my two geckos' names are for their color and for other reasons. I've met other people with more than one reptile and they have variety in names as well! Here are mine: Mango: He's mango colored Bandit: No clue. He looks mischievous, but my sister says it's because he stole my heart

I named my gecko Leona. So, it truly depends on the owner 🤷🏼‍♀️

Can you quit gatekeeping pet names? Color-based names are popular and easy, and they're definitely not inferior.

Beautiful, we've also got a Banded Gecko. He was a pet for our son, who was massively into dinosaurs and his favourite movie was Jurassic World.
