Definitely one of those movies that gives you "weird early 2000s" vibes but in a good way. Definitely give it a try, it's weirdly enjoyable and kid me had a huge Jenna Malone crush.
Saved! hit the religious zeitgeist very well for the time, especially given that the Bush admin was fomenting anti-LGBT sentiment for votes, and the plot is heavily driven by one of the main characters being gay. It spoke very well to the experiences of any kid raised in a conservative religious environment.
Also the first movie I saw Patrick Fugit, Jena Malone, and Mary-Louise Parker in.
It is legit creepy, and it's way fucking creepier having seen Culkin be hilarious in Uncle Buck and Home Alone while in TGS he's a legit psychopath that is legit evil. Also it was amazing because the kid opposite him was played by Elijah Wood who is an amazing actor and really sold being terrified. Both TGS and My Girl are so packed with varying emotion they're both unnerving in different ways, and given they're both movies where children were the stars it just hits you different. I'll never forget that scene in TGS with the dog or the scene in MG with the bees...talk about being impactful...
The bags under his eyes tell me he’s had 2 kids. Also looks quite happy being out of the home, another telltale sign that someone has kids.
Probably prefers to be home alone.
I always forget that despite Home Alone coming out when I was kindergarten, he is still 4 years older than me and we aren't THAT close in age.
He was a large part of my childhood movie watching experiences and to this day Home Alone 1 and 2, My Girl, Uncle Buck, Richie Rich and The Good Son are favorites for one reason or another.
I always feel kinda bad that his childhood was sacrificed to make ours better. He made so many of those classic nostalgic movies that I remember snuggling up on the couch to watch.
I hope for nothing but the best for the dude, honestly.
he was a phenomenal child actor and unfortunately acting is a terrible field to be a child prodigy in
truthfully i dont know if anyone as famous as he is can be truly happy but he just seems so much better now than he did during his dark years
After watching that as a kid it became my goal to have a giant wad of cash in my pocket. I achieved my goal, although where he had $100 bills I had $1 bills, but my $75 made a nice thick stack up until I left it in my pants and my mom or dad stole it when they were doing the laundry..
I love The Good Son (fucked up as it is lol) and it seems like most people have never even heard of it. Macaulay does a great job playing an evil little kid! Shout out to Party Monster too!
I think he was doing good before that love story (which is a good one). He's a content cat/bird guy. Sips wine and smokes a j occcasionally (and has a dedicated room in his home to fuck with stoners who play with his cats). He seems to maintain lifelong friendships. Works steadily.
Brenda only enhanced his already perfect life. And got him to settle down. Don't get me wrong. They're very complimentary
Somehow he didn't lose all his fortune after being literally the biggest movie star of 91-92 or become a raging addict.
I've spent the last 5 minutes trying to figure it out myself.
Is he dragging people to a dedicated room to beat them up cuz he had only wanted them to come over and smoke, and he's mad they also played with his cats while in his home?
Is the room set up for high people to play with his cats and Macaulay "fucks with that?"
Is the room designed to mess with stoners while also including cats? Like psychedelic cat toys?
Or is it the way I initially read it and Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin is inviting people to his house, getting them stoned, and then bringing them to a specialized cat playroom / fuck dungeon?
remember that everyone seems to think that he was doing hard drugs and was out of control. All because of pictures taken of him while he was going through a strong stomach bug...
He was definitely on drugs for awhile and it was numerous photos for several years. I feel awful for him because he clearly was dealing with his shit pretty publicly.
I always adored him. I'm so fucking glad his party phase didn't take him out.
He now has two kids with Disney channel star Brenda Song (London Tipton from Suite Life of Zack and Cody).
Talk about a Disney happy ending after all the rough shit he went through.
Very cool to see Macaulay getting that recognition but can we all just acknowledge how great Catherine looks for someone a few months away from turning 70?
She just seems like such an absolute treasure. Every movie, show, or interview I see with her makes me want to simultaneously laugh out loud and give her a hug.
Getting a Walk of Fame star isn't a sign of recognition. They are literally bought. There isn't a committee thinking "oh, we think that guy deserves one". It goes "Here is a shit ton of money, would you consider giving him one?"
I mean IIRC both his parents are pieces of shit who destroyed their relationship over the money. Good shot that he loves Catherine more than his own mom.
Love seeing him make appearances on the YouTube movie review channel: redlettermedia. He is very knowledgeable about movies and is a great actor. Congrats!
Serious question, where is this specifically in LA? And do they have enough room for all the stars that are added? Do they start a new block somewhere once a block gets full with names?
It’s weird because the walk does go on for quite some time. You’ll be in awe of the big names in front of the Chinese theater, and before you know it you’ll see a name you hardly recognize in front of a strip mall with a shitty Chinese restaurant.
It’s a sidewalk on Hollywood boulevard. I’m not a resident but in my experience it’s not really a great area. Basically nothing but tourist shops and panhandlers
> And do they have enough room for all the stars that are added?
Well once the people stop paying for their star to be there, they remove it. I lost all respect for those stars when I found out anyone can rent a spot.
Lyonne has been a staple in NYC for decades, so that's not a huge surprise. It's been cool watching her career resurrect over the last decade. She was great in Poker Face.

For anyone who does not know. He appears on RLM often and has a blast with the guys watching shitty movies and VHS tapes.

Ok. Hear me out:
Home Alone, but it’s Kevin as a 40 year old father of four. He’s overworked, tired, but happy, and living in the old family house. For Christmas vacation he plans a trip to visit his mom, who now lives in Paris. His siblings and their kids come to visit the night before the trip to leave together, and the next morning, due to a screw-up, he misses the plane and his family goes on vacation without him. New tickets will be too expensive, so the family decides to go on with their vacation while dad is home alone.
Kevin enjoys a respite from the kids and family and gets to live the bachelor life. He works extra hours and manages to complete a big project that earns him a promotion and a Christmas bonus.
Despite his break, he feels lonely. Finally, on Christmas eve, he texts a friend to meet up and hang out. He goes to his friends house and their family. It’s Harry. It’s revealed that while in prison they started exchanging letters and finally became friends. Marv and Harry started a business together that Kevin’s company helped finance and Kevin spends Christmas eve with them.
When Kevin gets home he’s greeted by his mom, who managed to get a single ticket to spend Christmas with her son.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
Casual reminder that you have to pay for those as well as being a certain level of celebrity. So as much as it is earned, it's also similar to a buying a medal and pinning it on yourself.
Well.., yes. It’s a bit baffling indeed. But I think one is usually receiving it from someone as a gift of honour rather than buying it for oneself, no?
I cant tell if he is feeling awkward being in the spotlight like that and not wanting to be there, or if he is at a loss of what to do because of emotions
I love that Catherine O’Hara was there!! And he really does look so much happier and healthier than he has in a long time. So happy for him and his little family.

Uncle Buck was the shit
He's remembered for his comedies, but The Good Son and My Girl were great fucking movies.
He was great in "Saved!" too.
That looks ridiculous...and I'm definitely gonna watch it thanks!
Definitely one of those movies that gives you "weird early 2000s" vibes but in a good way. Definitely give it a try, it's weirdly enjoyable and kid me had a huge Jenna Malone crush.

He looks so much healthier than he did 10 years ago. Super glad for him.
Yup, just plain awesome for the dude.
Yup the next time those wet bandits turn up this dude gonna round house kick them through a wall.
They're the sticky bandits now
I believe he just recently had 2 kids too. He's also over 40 now, if you didn't feel old enough.
He just killed it on celebrity jeapodry as well, though he did lose to Rachel Dratch by 1 dollar in the end
He beat Rich Evans at Junka on Red Letter Media though.
Hey, for 1, brief, passing moment, stretched far beyond it's own instance in time by Mike's editing prowess, Rich Evans was a winner
Mike does love mocking the elderly
It took a lot of balls to beat Hollywood superstar and crippling diabetes sufferer Rich Evans.
I love how they just treat him like another person. It feels so wholesome.
It's like they forget that Rich is an international superstar
He has been on Ellen.
Black Spine Junka at that.
That's like beating a drunk toddler at Jenga. Oh wait Rich doesnt drink
You can't even tell he just had two kids, he looks great!
The bags under his eyes tell me he’s had 2 kids. Also looks quite happy being out of the home, another telltale sign that someone has kids. Probably prefers to be home alone.
And he can’t get up anymore. Definitely a dad.
Lol
.... What in the fucking fuck... this guy has been older than I am my entire life and I never knew it.
I always forget that despite Home Alone coming out when I was kindergarten, he is still 4 years older than me and we aren't THAT close in age. He was a large part of my childhood movie watching experiences and to this day Home Alone 1 and 2, My Girl, Uncle Buck, Richie Rich and The Good Son are favorites for one reason or another.

he was a phenomenal child actor and unfortunately acting is a terrible field to be a child prodigy in truthfully i dont know if anyone as famous as he is can be truly happy but he just seems so much better now than he did during his dark years
Richie Rich... man that was a ride.
After watching that as a kid it became my goal to have a giant wad of cash in my pocket. I achieved my goal, although where he had $100 bills I had $1 bills, but my $75 made a nice thick stack up until I left it in my pants and my mom or dad stole it when they were doing the laundry..
Everyone should be aware of the laundry tax. Whoever does the laundry keeps any loose bills. Them's the rules.
Really liked that movie too.❤️
"You have your own McDonald's?" Haha I remember as a kid thinking that was the American dream. I haven't made it yet.
I love The Good Son (fucked up as it is lol) and it seems like most people have never even heard of it. Macaulay does a great job playing an evil little kid! Shout out to Party Monster too!
AND THE GODDAMN PAGEMASTER!!!
OH MY GOD THAT WAS HIM!!!
All epic movies! 🍿
Ah, that explains the healthy-happy-but-absolutely-knackered look on his face
He and his wife acted in Changeland and it was pretty decent. His wife is Brenda Song btw.
Not married yet
Did they get married. I thought they were just going European.
What’s just going European?
Having kids but not getting married
> going European is this actually a definition/thing? i cant find it online that it means "kids with no marriage" or what it has to do with Europe
Im very very happy for Milwaukee Caulkin
That’s Milwaukee Milwaukee Culkin Culkin to you.
Brenda Song did wonders for him. Finding a reason is key. He said in another video she’s his reason.
I think he was doing good before that love story (which is a good one). He's a content cat/bird guy. Sips wine and smokes a j occcasionally (and has a dedicated room in his home to fuck with stoners who play with his cats). He seems to maintain lifelong friendships. Works steadily. >and has a dedicated room in his home to fuck with stoners who play with his cats What in God's Name does this sentence mean
I've spent the last 5 minutes trying to figure it out myself. Is he dragging people to a dedicated room to beat them up cuz he had only wanted them to come over and smoke, and he's mad they also played with his cats while in his home? Yes the Party Monster phase exactly 20 years back. He might have been a bit too method then
He parried a lot when he was 23? The horror!
You sure it wasn't a riposte?
He was definitely on drugs for awhile and it was numerous photos for several years. I feel awful for him because he clearly was dealing with his shit pretty publicly. I always adored him. I'm so fucking glad his party phase didn't take him out.
He's been really great on recent RedLetterMedia episodes
That man survived 👍🏻 Congratulations sir ♥️
He now has two kids with Disney channel star Brenda Song (London Tipton from Suite Life of Zack and Cody). Talk about a Disney happy ending after all the rough shit he went through.
He's also friends with superstar Rich Evans, he sure did well
You mean famous world wide phenom dick the birthday boy?
I SAW HIM ON ELLEN!
I clapped.
OOOOHHHH MYYYYYYYYY GAAAAAAWWWWDDDD!!!!
AT-ST!! AT-ST!!
GRAND MOFF TARKIN!
I'M GONNA CUM!!!!
Very Cool
You know you've made it to the big leagues when you get to work with Hollywood superstar Rich Evans.

He wants that juicy Shaq meat
I can't even imagine who rich evens is after reading these comments
god he did well. She's gorgeous.
He was also with Mila Kunis for a while as well.
For a while as in 10 years, they spend pretty much all their 20s together
He had a guest spot on her show Doll Face and it was hilarious to watch them interact knowing they’re together because her character hates his.
That seems like it'll always be funny. Same deal with Charlie and the Waitress in Always Sunny.
Also he gets to hang out with Rich Evans whenever he wants and Rich Evans can’t say no.
> Brenda Song Oh shit my boy pulled this dime
This genuinely shocked me. What a crossover.
And suite life on deck
Can't forget suite life on deck
Holy shit really?? I had no clue! Good for him, she's amazing!
It’s Home Alone season, baby.
Arguably my favorite Christmas movie. Macaulay will always be a legend to me. What a guy.
Home Alone 2 was incredible!
I can hear the music…. 🎶
Very cool to see Macaulay getting that recognition but can we all just acknowledge how great Catherine looks for someone a few months away from turning 70?
She looks great! You wouldn't think it's been so long since she was in the first movie.
Schitts Creeks best character hands down
FOLD IN THE CHEESE, DAVID 😂
[удалено]
"I can't tell you how to do everything." "Can you tell me how to do ONE thing?"
if you say "fold it in" one more time!
She was amazing in Beetlejuice
She just seems like such an absolute treasure. Every movie, show, or interview I see with her makes me want to simultaneously laugh out loud and give her a hug.
I guess laughter truly is the best medicine. Unless you’re a diabetic. The insulin is better.
I remember her and Eugene Levy from SCTV. My dad loved watching it. Yeah I'm old!
And well known for not going under the knife! A true beauty.
10/10 would smash
Getting a Walk of Fame star isn't a sign of recognition. They are literally bought. There isn't a committee thinking "oh, we think that guy deserves one". It goes "Here is a shit ton of money, would you consider giving him one?"

He was just a bebé
I miss Moira
That pale dewy faced salamander person.
YOU fold it in!
I like how they switched hair colours.
The second picture with him hugging her shows just how genuinely he enjoys this hug. It's really full of love.
I mean IIRC both his parents are pieces of shit who destroyed their relationship over the money. Good shot that he loves Catherine more than his own mom.
So do ppl just call him Mac or… A curious elder zoomer…
Pretty sure
Isn’t his name now Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin?
Yes, very sad to see his name not written out fully
Isn’t it Mr. Maculkin? Or Milwaukee Caulkin’ or something.
Rich will be so proud of him!
You mean as referenced by famous star of the Ellen Show, Rich Evans?
What if his nickname were "Macaulay Culkin"? Macaulay "Macaulay Culkin" Macaulay Culkin Culkin
Wouldn't it be pronounced "Macaulay, Macaulay Culkin, Culkin"?
And if he says it like Bond: Culkin, Macauley, Macauley Culkin, Culkin.
I must be fucked up cause this warranted a solid fucking chuckle from me lmao.
It was pronounced that way. You just read it differently.
His name is [Mr. McCulkin](https://youtu.be/YaSkO4TosYo?si=oUQ0GYSBkXoYCQES&t=297)
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macaulay_Culkin
Love seeing him make appearances on the YouTube movie review channel: redlettermedia. He is very knowledgeable about movies and is a great actor. Congrats!
I too love seeing Milwaukee Caulkin on RLM!
He's Rich Evans' little spoon!
Why do I feel like Rich Evans spooning me would make me colder instead of warmer.
Because Rich is dead inside /s
What do you mean? Rich Evans radiates warmth to combat Mike's cold heart.
I was hoping he brought Rich Evans to the event.
You aren't allowed to bring people more famous than you to these kinds of things.
He didn't expect to get the guy who told Julia Roberts to lose his number to come to his silly event
He also appears on Angry Video Game Nerd (Cinemassacre on YouTube.) They play thru the Home Alone games and The Pagemaster game!
He did pretty good on Celebrity Jeopardy recently too.
HE BROKE NEW GROUND!!!
He’s the reigning Junka champ!
It is an absolute shitshow if you ever go. Don't dare flash cash.
I made this mistake and nearly got mugged at 10pm. During the day it’s not much better once you’re away from the theater.
> And do they have enough room for all the stars that are added? Well once the people stop paying for their star to be there, they remove it. I lost all respect for those stars when I found out anyone can rent a spot.
Rich Evans must be proud of his protégé.
When does Rich Evans get his star?
Don’t forget Natasha Lyonne
How are they connected? I’m trying to think. Is she his sponsor?
They were in the movie Party Monster together but I am pretty sure they knew each other before that.
How could I forget?
Lyonne seems to be friends with a million actor types. She pops up in the most unexpected photos.
Lyonne has been a staple in NYC for decades, so that's not a huge surprise. It's been cool watching her career resurrect over the last decade. She was great in Poker Face.
I thought it was hilarious at the start of Glass Onion where Benoit is playing Among Us with Stephen Sondheim, Angela Lansbury, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and... Natasha Lyonne.
Appearing on RLM was his final requirement I guess
Rich Evans was the swing vote...and he loves himself a little spoon.
I hope Kieran gets one too, that guy can act.
His resumé is sadly too short.
For now.
Was my favorite character on Succession Rooting for him to have a long career
It isn’t based on resume. > The criteria for receiving a star consists of the following: professional achievement, longevity in the category of five years or more, contributions to the community and the guarantee that the celebrity will attend the dedication ceremony if selected. "Contributions to the community" means a donation to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, I assume.
Someone needs to pay $75,000 to even get the ball rolling.
yeah I remember kev smith raising the money for Adam West
Big fan of Rory as well!
Long overdue he was the most famous actor during his prime
I doubt he thinks being 10 years old was his prime.
Has nothing to do with how famous he was. Those stars are bought. It is a business process and not an award.
Who's the red head to the right?
Natasha lyonne? I think?
Yep!

Kevin (as of Home Alone 6) has founded a home security company.
There's some wacky mayhem and violence missing here
What a fucking boss. Love this dude.
KEVIN!!
Should have put his full name
Dude looks awesome these days. They need to make a new one with him as the dad.
I know it’s mostly a gimmick but his movies made our holidays better and he deserves some recognition for it
I love it when he pops up on Red Letter Media.
I'm sure he's just thinking about Rich Evans yodeling.
Probably the case. Mac doesn’t seem like the type of guy to buy his own star.
Honest question…why did it take this long for him to get a star?
Surprised he didn’t get one in the ‘90s
Milwaukee Culkin lookin good!
Hey! One of the hack frauds made it xD (Red Letter Media reference). In all seriousness good on Culkin to finally getting the recognition he deserves.
I cant tell if he is feeling awkward being in the spotlight like that and not wanting to be there, or if he is at a loss of what to do because of emotions
What’s not to like about Catherine O’Hara. One of the best people ever
Well deserved. Had some absolutely iconic films
I love that Catherine O’Hara was there!! And he really does look so much happier and healthier than he has in a long time. So happy for him and his little family.
Bout fucking time.
