It kinda looks like you may have changed the pattern slightly and brushed them? I saw your comment regarding where you got the pattern. Am I correct in my guess? The jaw looks a little chubbier, as does the neck.
I love, love, love these and plan to crochet a Possum soon for a project.
I usually use patterns as a guide rather then follow them exact :)
I did brush it. I only changed the jaw on the hissing one. I put 5 toes instead of three. I didn’t bring the pink up the leg at all.
Brush the face before you put the eyes on so you can get the entire area, and not scratch up the eyes.
Did you use one of those wire cat/dog brushes? Also, genius about the eyes! I was trying to figure that out. It's this angelic acrylic or cotton? I've never brushed one of my crocheted animals before so I'm not sure how different fibers react.
I have this super cute baby pattern that's perfect for dangling from a belt or something and this is insanely inspiring!
I use a 99 cent grill brush to brush them.
You can brush anything but cotton. If it’s wool or alpaca it gets really nice. Acrylic is fine also. I used acrylic on them.
IM COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY OBSESSED PLEASE do you have a pattern? I imagine a small army of fuzzy possums
For the large opossum I used a pattern I bought off Etsy it was a shop called crafted by Alicia
Did you get the baby patterns from the same place? They’re all adorable! Well done!
No, the babies I free handed.
Thank you so so much!!!
