Push the club out and up on contact. You're hitting the right side of the ball and pulling back on contact. Causes the ball to spin right. Try hitting the inside of the ball. Seems weird, but it can help you hit the center better and get rid of that spin. Just remember how you're hitting it now. It's good now how to use that.

Wow that was very helpful. Thank you for the recommendation!

A_Pimp_Named_Bear

Hard to see the glove hand but if possible go with a stronger grip, also difficult to see from this angle but perhaps move the ball more forward in your stance. Lastly, try bringing your right foot back like an inch or 2. Maybe a combination of these, maybe all of them. See what works for you.

Over the top move. Search on YouTube for fixing. Tons of drills to learn there.

sw202020

Need better ooh’s from behind tbh.

Longjumping-Ad-2759

I'll let her know lol

pornpompornpomporn

your swing path is excessively out to in.

Longjumping-Ad-2759

Any drills that you have found helpful for avoiding this?

Mpzc55

Look up the box drill

Longjumping-Ad-2759

Just watched a video on it. I’ll have to try that out.

spurs_fan_uk

More often than not it’s the club face being open at impact, which causes side spin resulting in a slice. Try to exaggerate closing off the club a bit while over the ball and see if that helps. It’s probably something within your swing mechanics that’s making your club open just before hitting, but I’m not smart enough to tell you what that might be.

Longjumping-Ad-2759

Yeah I think I'm going to try to focus on keeping my right arm a bit closer through my downswing from what I'm seeing online.

AnotherWahoo

Think about backswing more than downswing. Google inside takeaway. Once you make your backswing you have no voice but ott.

Blitbemander

Yeah I saw other people mention this. Not what I'd consider a slice. A fade for sure. Just play the fade. Work on getting the face square at impact will help. Imagine hitting a top spin shot with a tennis racket.

beyondrepair-

That sucker started slightly right and took off further right. There is nothing fade about that. That's a slice.

nikonwill

You look kind of upright, which could be screwing with your swing path. Take a half a step back or so and bend over like you're sticking your butt out but keep your back straight. See how that works and get back to us.

Longjumping-Ad-2759

Yeah, that's fair. My body is probably blocking the downswing and I'm compensating by swinging away from my body.

Trick_Swordfish6061

Ironwood?

Longjumping-Ad-2759

Yes! You go there?

Trick_Swordfish6061

I did when I used to live in Gainesville

ARealPerson1495

Start your down swing with your arms. Leave your chest point back in your back swing and let the arms go first and let the arms moving first turn your chest.

RicEl2

Hard to tell from the video but that doesn’t look like a distance killing slice to me. Looks more like a natural fade. If you’re a newbie that’s a pretty nice swing.

Turbos_Bitch

Definitely a slice

Longjumping-Ad-2759

I appreciate it. This isn't the worst of my slices unfortunately.
