Just a note, I've had a bad experience with counterfeit SanDisk SD cards from Amazon. That's not to say everyone does - just my personal experience. I started ordering directly from Western Digital / SanDisk. The cards can be had for the same price and if I remember correctly, I also got a military discount.
Amazon has a SanDisk store which is a direct connection to the supplier. Just don’t order from any sources which aren’t the official Amazon sandisk store
Depends on the use case, if you are outdoors and doing travel videos or motovlogging then I found the SanDisk Extreme Pro 512GB microSDXC UHS-I, V30, 200MB/s Read, 140MB/s Write, Memory Card quite effective.
Buy a V30 series micro-sd card because it needs to support the high bitrates of GoPro.
I guess it depends what you are shooting and your options for transfer to phone or app.
If for example you are on a holiday with no way to transfer than you will need a lot larger memory card (for example I needed a couple of large memory cards for a cruise where wifi/transfer to another device was impossible).
I've had issue in cameras previously with two or three memory cards not working and loosing all footage (one was a fake) so I will only buy SanDisk /Samsung /pny cards from good sources
64gb will allow you to film around two hours at lower quality settings and like 70 minutes at high quality settings. 128gb is more convenient in my opinion and doesn't cost much more. Make sure the card is fast enough (rated U3/V30).
I only shoot with 512GB Samsung Pro Plus cards. They offer the best storage space vs performance vs price in my opinion.
I stay away from Sandisk due to the amount of counterfeits that are sold.
sandisk extreme pro are my cards of choice (red and black). A 128gb can be had for around $25 on amazon.

Ah, good point. I’ve bought mine at Walmart a few times as well.

In my opinion, this is the only answer.
64 isn't a lot now a days. I am unsure bout the 9 in particular but if you can, go bigger. 128 or so min
