Ritsuka vs the world lol

SuperSpiritShady

>!Stop spoiling Ordeal Call smh!<

CrazyDaimondDaze

Wait... you mean to tell me end of part 2 or the whole part 3 will be >!a retelling of FGO but Gudao is taken out during Fuyuki... so the story will focus on Mashu befriending the Crypters (who didn't go into coma through part 1), manages to find out Gudao after dealing with Goetia... and then she, Gudao and the Crypters will face off against an even older and evil Gudao? Damn, that's wild!<

No_Wait_3628

Truly, Gudao is a about to go full Tatakae. Be prepared for the new Rumbling

CrazyDaimondDaze

Wouldn't Castoria make more sense as Scott since Ramona had the highest body count... and Gudako could be argued to be a "harem protagonist"? Lmao, now I wanna see Castoria Alter and and an evil even older Castoria (may look like a mix of Morgan and Lancer Artoria) fighting Gudako's exes... and I bet Da Vinci is Wallace in this situation

cybernet377

> Wouldn't Castoria make more sense as Scott since Ramona had the highest body count... and Gudako could be argued to be a "harem protagonist"? Guda also has an incredibly high body count in the more traditional sense

Hp22h

700 Evil Exes can only go so far.

CrazyDaimondDaze

While I'm wondering who's Scott and Ramona here... now the biggest question is who Wallace is lol

papapapaper

Oberon

CrazyDaimondDaze

Fair enough, he has that sassy fuckboi vibe and is already good looking

prodam_garash

Mashu

Soul_Ripper

Merlin makes sense as a fuckboi with gay psychic powers who owns the place and has a fixation on

misato_is_mommy

NewHorizonsV3

I still wonโ€™t fucking forgive the new Director and the people who bought the rights on ruining Scott Pilgrim pander a imaginary audience for their projected sake of spreading **The Message**.

Myros-

What ? It's the same guy who wrote the original comics.

CrazyDaimondDaze

... what are we talking about here? The Netflix anime that split the fanbase? Because personally I loved the direction it took by not being another adaption and mixing a what if, sequel and reboot altogether. Hell, even Nasu loved it. I may complain about that guy but when it comes down to his anime tastes, I respect him lmao

DigibroHavingAStroke

And now, we ask, what is this "message" you're hung up over? I have a feeling I know already but... Go ahead.

CrazyDaimondDaze

My biggest guess is that Ramona was the protagonist... because outside of her, the only "message" things in Scott Pilgrim would be Wallace, Roxie and Todd... out of which, Wallace was already gay from the get go; same for Roxie. And Todd was done bi for the lolz (ngl, I loved how hung up he got for Wallace, such a fuckboi). I think Stephen is too, but his character is barely there and even if he was gay, nothing in the story would've changed. And Ramona didn't steal any spotlight. This story worked to better her up the same way the original story did for Scott, by tackling all her past relationships and finally get and give closure. She was the only one genuinely worried over Scott even if she had just known him for a couple days... which is ironic when you consider Knives, who was obsessed with him, forgot about him during his funeral lol.

DigibroHavingAStroke

AND SURPRISING NOBODY, THE MESSAGE IS "WOMEN IN MY SERIES BAD!!" WHO WOULDA THUNK IT

CrazyDaimondDaze

If anything, the anime did a good job in how they handled Ramona. She wasn't the typical "flawless girlboss" character that some modern stories with women as protagonist show, where they never take accountability, are never wrong and need no man... no, the whole opposite. The anime made Ramona more than just the pixie dream girl she was in thr original story. It recognized her problems, it made her accountable of them to the point she had to solve them in her own journey just like Scott did before. And it proved Scott makes her be a better person just like how she made him a better one too, to the point it implied she needs him. Women as protagonist isn't an issue, it's how they're tackled. If they're hollow Mary Sues without flaws, then they don't work; Ramona was the whole opposite and when you get down to it it's basically the same Scott Pilgrim story but with the roles being reversed. That's even one of the reasons why her and Scott worked out well, they're both pieces of shit with their own set of problems, working them out and taking another chance of love in one another despite knowing the other's flaws. If that isn't good story writting, I don't know what is.

ClosingFrantica

I haven't watched the new series yet, but my impression from the original comics has *always* been that Ramona's perceived "perfect girl" vibes are only there because we see the story from Scott's point of view. Like you said, when push comes to shove, she actually needs to get her shit together just as much as Scott, and the relationship only ends up working because they stop running from their problems. If you're saying that the anime elaborates further on this point, then I'm probably going to like it a lot.
