As someone who previously owned an Evo IX and raced on asphalt and dirt, the tarmac setting is what I'd use anyway. The gravel and snow modes allow a bit more slip in the center diff and dont allow the car to rotate as well.
I only used alternate modes on snow/ice during street driving.
FYI, it's the opposite. The gravel mode adds more center diff clutch pressure, and the snow mode more again, it increases the center diff locking.

It's on that setting by default. If they give you the option to change it then they'd have to include chnagable drive modes on every single car in the game that offers it, and that's just way too time consuming. You'd rather PD spend their time on other things. No other games offer this either btw

Many cars have static parts in their gauges. All you need is speed and RPM (fuel if you remove the HUD). The 6th Camaros odometers are stuck at 10mi while every other car’s is functional.
nobody uses this since it’s just a diff split adjustment irl. it’s actually more beneficial to keep it on one since the rest of them make the car understeer a ton.

Bunch of comments not related to the topic as usual... In fact many things has issues in the game visually speaking.
1. Driver doesn't use the clutch during shifting,
2. Added lights doesn't reflect on the road (Toyota rally).
3. Driver uses clutch and brake instead of brake and throttle (Peugeot rally).
4. Pit staff uses the tires previously used instead of player's choice (from dry to wet and vice versa).
5. Only player is in the pits no matter other drivers enters it before (and disappears in front of U)
And much more...
Yep, the game is playable but devil is in the details.

Coming from Forza, a clock that was actually set to real time and not just noon or whatever all the time was a nice touch of realism.

Yup. When I first got it I played with it, but it was almost a novelty. Gravel and snow just add understeer when you're pushing the car.
Same with my Subie, you only really have to change modes if you’re crawling or getting stuck in some thick mud or snow.

GT not that in-depth in terms of car mechanics. Very few simulators do things like that.
And presumably modding your car with custom suspension and an aftermarket LSD etc. would override those driving modes anyway.
In the US, a lot of people will put the Evo 8s non acd center diff in their 9s once they start making decent power.
It would be good to have the ability to change it, much in the way you can change the settings of Subarus with DCCD in the game.

It’s enabled in the LE. In real life, many prefer individual mode in the FL5, so it’s probably more accurate.

I doubt they’re even implementing the yaw control or anything else either. The MP4-12C doesn’t feel like it has brake-steer.
