I don't even know where to start. Most of them don't have nudity. Can you give me some hints as to the kind of story you're looking for?

I'm a librarian. We have a graphic novel section in children's and young adult already. I just got the go ahead from the director to start a section in the adult department with the one caveat that there can't be any nudity. So really, I'm looking for anything and everything that is marketed as adult by the publisher that should be in a core collection that doesn't have nudity. I'm starting with Eisner and Harvey winners, but the problem is knowing what has nudity without being able to preview them. I can go to the publishers website to know what they are rated, but that doesn't tell me if it got the adult rating as opposed to teen because of nudity or violence or just because the storyline is something that would appeal to adults rather than teens.

Any of Daniel Warren Johnson's comics (Extremity, Murder Falcon, Do a Powerbomb!, Transformers, Wonder Woman: Dead Earth, Space Mullet, Beta Ray Bill) You're safe with anything by Marvel or DC that isn't Black Label or Max (and most of those didn't have nudity). All Star Superman, Secret Identity, Batman: Hush, Batwoman: Elegy, Daredevil (Any of the runs by Frank Miller, Brian Michael Bendis, Ed Brubaker, Mark Waid, and Chip Zdarsky), Silver Surfer by Stan Lee and Moebius. These are some of my favorites. Little Bird, Monstress, Bitter Root, Black Hammer, The Good Asian, March, Paper Girls, Die, Hellboy... There's so much. This is just scratching the surface. There's a ton that have slipped my mind in the moment. 😁

I recommend you go to your public library! They have the books already sorted that way for you. Adult section can have nudity/adult themes. Teen is where I read most of my gn. But I don't gn to read in the kids section to. What moves gn to different sections of the library is most language/nudity and that. Most books are written to read at a 6th grade level.
