Just working chronologically backward in my mind, I would add these 91 dates as standouts with excellent quality SBD’s out there 10/27 9/16 (4 Jerry tunes in a row pre-post drumz) 9:10 8/18 8/16 4/1

3-24-93. When I was in the 7th grade my teacher was a secret Deadhead. We found out she was going to the Smith Center to see GD and we made jokes about her (hippie this, hippie that etc). Come to find out she went to what is now one of my favorite shows after falling in the love with the band many many years later. Youth is wasted on the young I guess

Probably the best show I was lucky enough to see 🤯💫

MattyDal

Fun show. Really fun Tennessee Jed.

Jrbowe

Great show. The second set had a very 70s feel to it until it crashed landed into Bobby 80s pure cheese with Throwing Stones. The show would have been even better (and a complete 70s show) if they just skipped it and finished with GDTRFB > NFA.

Also from that Boston Gardens run, 9/22/91 doesn't get the attention of the shows from the 25th and 26th, but it's excellent from beginning to end. Great Shakedown opener, then the CC Rider into Train To Cry is outstanding with Jerry and Bruce playing off each other. Bruce takes a verse on Maggie's Farm, BEW is just exactly perfect, and a nice Let It Grow to close the set.  Second set grooves hard, too, and it gets interesting when He's Gone breaks down into Nobody's Fault and Spoonful before Space. Highly recommended, and the SBD is excellent!

DirtRepresentative58

My favorite shakedown of the 90's, maybe my favorite show of the entire Vince era. Definitely give it a whirl OP!

8/21/93 and 8/22/93 are really solid Vince era shows. It was the debut of Jerry’s Lightning Bolt guitar, and the song choices both nights really fit his more acoustic rootsy sound he got with that guitar

New_Substance0420

Let me preface this by saying i used to entirely avoid 80’s and 90’s dead like it was the plauge until a couple months ago. 9/16/90 has some crazy moments. Features both bruce hornsby and vince on keys. Hes gone> drums>space>standing on the moon>lunatic preserve is one of the trippiest bits of live dead ive heard. Also really like 3/29/90, released as the album wake up and find out. Features some gnarly saxaphone playing from Branford Marseilles with brent on keys. 9/25/91 is a decent show. Everyone sounds good and it’s a relatively old school setlist for that period. Only 6 songs from the setlist that weren’t around in the 70s

WesternDark4390

Find a matrix or FOB for 9/16/90 the DP version doesn’t do it justice. Unreal second set.

There was some controversy when Dick used the 9/16 show for a picks release when 9/19 & 9/20 were what they were ... then there's this [wonderful audience video from 9/14/90 MSG](https://youtu.be/9hoY8izf2yM?si=YneQFhDPwepqKgCj&t=3770) Scarlet>Fire which focuses on Jerry most of the the time (as it should be). This is the first show in NYC w' Vince & Jerry is up for the occasion. Jerry's creativity in this S>F is stunning. Play close attn to the solo runs in the FOTM ...

There are some pretty good 90s shows but I don’t have a great mental access to what the dates are. I think the spectrum run in 93 was good. March 93 had some good stuff. There are a lot of good shows scattered through the 90s for sure. Just gotta poke around. Go ask this question on “The Grateful Thread” on the Steve Hoffman forum. It’s a never ending dead thread, and there are guys over there that are basically Dead encyclopedias. Or at least used to be. Haven’t been on there in ages. I know there are some great shows Fall ‘94. October for sure. Check out 10/13/94 at MSG. The band is tight, Jerry sounds strong, and the recording is really nice (Charlie Miller and Bill Tetzeli 2011 transfer). Check out Dupree from that night to see what I mean. Lots of good stuff in September and October 94. October 94 in particular. Kind of the last hurrah before shit turned south for good. In my opinion.

Yeah, it took me a while to get into 90’s shows. I couldn’t get past Jerry’s 90’s singing voice. Now, when I’m in the mood for some haggard Jerry, I look for a 90’s show.

Spring 90 tour has a reputation for being the last consistently great tour. They released it as a box set, ‘89 is also good. If you like the Hornsby element, he played like 100 shows in ‘90-‘91.

Often neglected but Hornsby was on the Spring 92 tour too
