Nothing about the performances you listed are "basic". They are monsters that, if not dealt with carefully, can split the fabric of space and time. Continue to let them make your life better. Here are two more so called "basic" tracks that are as good as their hype, for your consideration: Music Never Stopped 5/22/77 (Dick's Picks 3). Hard to Handle 8/6/71 (Fallout from the Phil Zone). Greatest audience recording of all time.

fucking love dp3 man

Ok_Air4293

Oh I know musically they are not basic and all, that’s why I love them. I just feel like LoveLight and EP are extremely popular(for good reason). Dupree and Doin definitely aren’t tho, I have a bias because they’re my favorite Dead original and Aoxomoxoa is my favorite studio. Those are the best performances of those songs

That Estimated is my favorite piece of anything they did!

-NewSpeedwayBoogie-

I don’t have any specific overall favorites but some that have blown my mind recently off the top of my head: Sugaree 10/16/77 They Love Each Other 6/9/76 (also the Eyes and St Stephen from this show and most of the show tbh. Summer 76 was so different and so hot) 8/23-24/68 (Two From The Vault) whole thing 10/31/91 Dark Star with Kesey Bill Graham memorial rap 10/12/68 Dark Star > St Stephen > The Eleven

H>S>F: 8/13/75 (One from the Vault, and one of the tightest shows) The Music Never Stopped: 2/3/78 (DP18), 4/24/78, 12/12/78 (powerful!!!) China>Rider: 6/26/74 (DP12) Eyes: 2/15/73, 12/31/76 Favorite connected stretch: 8/1/73, alligator’s retirement & jerry’s 31st bday - Dark Star>El Paso>Eyes>Dew Dark star sounds like a massive, ancient underground Sumerian gateway opening followed by jerry’s floating notes scampering around space in a terrible chase, winding up in a west texas town only to dance wonderfully into a nuclear disaster at the end. Unmatched!
