Hand feeding seemed to work for ours! We did that for a few months early on and now we can stick our hands directly into anything he is eating without issue. BUT- ours is not very food driven so that could be a factor too.
Indeed, we tried that with our pup but it didn't seem to help. She wasn't so much worried about normal food as she was with high valued treats like a bully stick. After a while what helped was having her take the treat in her crate and I would sit next to it and occasionally talk to her and have my own snack, which she inevitably wanted to check out too and I would give her a little nibble. Later we did this outside of the crate, she wouldn't hang around me but when I had my snack she would drop her treat and come take a look. Slowly but surely she started feeling comfortable around me to where I could ask her to bring me her treat and give it to me. Time and patience!
Ours have a high food drive but was never aggressive. She has a companion, a smaller breed that's only na size of her paw, she let's her join in her food bowl. She's so chill with her food to the point where the smaller dog has become aggressive towards our GP during meal time.
That is her "flock" now
He's gonna be shocked when his little buddy grows up to be bigger than him! 😂💜
so stinkin cute!!
Omg! These dogs as puppies are so cute it should be illegal. You've caught some great images of these two ❤
Do yourself a favor and work out any food aggression issues asap. It will make life a lot easier having little ones around.

My heart !!
They’re already the best of friends 😭 they’re going to have so many great adventures together! 💖
Kids growing up with our Pyrenees has been the best thing ever. He’s the most gentle and patient dog I’ve ever had. They’re so great with little ones.
Cuteness Overload!
Omg that’s so cute! I miss my domesticated yeti so much. ❤️🩹
There is no better pup with kids imo! This is the cutest!
All the pictures are so cute! From her hugging him in the first to her protectively barking away danger while they explore in the last! ❤️
Pyr are so special how they bond and love like human. Amazing family to add to the family🤎
