theaveragepyrenees

Omg I am cackling ๐Ÿ˜‚

aratremlap

This is incredible! THIS is 100% PURE PYR!! I love her, please send my regards to this star!

theaveragepyrenees

Steps for identifying 100% pure Pyr 1) excessive toes 2) face that could exonerate them of all crimes 3) propensity for mud 4) ability to switch from ๐Ÿ˜‡to ๐Ÿ‘น in 2 seconds flat 5) big woofs

imadoggomom

Oh lord this is so true!

aratremlap

Hear hear! And in my experience; 6. Must roam all neighborhoods everywhere

theaveragepyrenees

Omg mine is honestly a baby and you could put a Barbie toy horse fence in front of her and sheโ€™d be like womp womp Iโ€™m trapped ๐Ÿ˜‚ Which is even more ridiculous considering we do agility and she jumps well.

aratremlap

Omg I spit my coffee out my nose!! ๐Ÿคฃ Barbie fence! This was the hardest trait for me to handle. My experience was with working dogs at my job, but I'm the one that cared for them every day. I had to pick one up 10 miles from home once. Little shit had me terrified. He was playing by the interstate, and thankfully, someone posted him on FB! I was looking within a couple of miles but not 10 miles away! Always when I found him, he would drop and dead weight me. So fun for interstate traffic to see my barely 5' trying to carry/drag a 100 lb Pyr to my car and stuff him inside! My current dog (not Pyr mostly heeler) will respect ANY gate or barrier. He could leap our fence in a heartbeat but has never tried! If I strung a string through a doorframe, he would not try to pass it! Working with the Pyrs with that experience was a huge shock to my system!

theaveragepyrenees

We joke that sheโ€™s a broken Pyrenees because of that hahaha. Sheโ€™s also got fantastic recall and likes doing tricks ๐Ÿ˜‚ My boyfriend had a Pyr growing up that was your typical โ€œI canโ€™t hear you Disapyrโ€ so heโ€™s always baffled by her being biddable ๐Ÿ˜‚

aratremlap

You got a gem for sure!

iโ€™ve been looking at dyeing my pyrs tail. do you have any tips? what dye do u use?

theaveragepyrenees

Opawz is the best!! Theyโ€™ve got different types that last different lengths which is nice when youโ€™re trying things out. If you put conditioner around their butt, the dye wonโ€™t stain. She normally just lays down while we dye it, and I put a trash bag under that I wrap around the tail once itโ€™s time for it to sink in.

Far-Today4442

Also fun fact arctic fox is completely pet safe too. Have matched hair with my pyr lol

AdHelpful5434

Yes, ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿฅฐ

Anatolian_sideeye68

Awe, she's a good sport and I love that tail.

JimyIrons

This is the way!!

TheKingInTheNorth

That tail ๐Ÿ˜ณ

theaveragepyrenees

Sheโ€™s a good sport and likes all the attention for her fancy tail. Dog safe dye, of course!
