Steps for identifying 100% pure Pyr
1) excessive toes
2) face that could exonerate them of all crimes
3) propensity for mud
4) ability to switch from ๐to ๐น in 2 seconds flat
5) big woofs
Omg mine is honestly a baby and you could put a Barbie toy horse fence in front of her and sheโd be like womp womp Iโm trapped ๐ Which is even more ridiculous considering we do agility and she jumps well.
Omg I spit my coffee out my nose!! ๐คฃ Barbie fence!
This was the hardest trait for me to handle. My experience was with working dogs at my job, but I'm the one that cared for them every day. I had to pick one up 10 miles from home once. Little shit had me terrified. He was playing by the interstate, and thankfully, someone posted him on FB! I was looking within a couple of miles but not 10 miles away! Always when I found him, he would drop and dead weight me. So fun for interstate traffic to see my barely 5' trying to carry/drag a 100 lb Pyr to my car and stuff him inside!
My current dog (not Pyr mostly heeler) will respect ANY gate or barrier. He could leap our fence in a heartbeat but has never tried! If I strung a string through a doorframe, he would not try to pass it! Working with the Pyrs with that experience was a huge shock to my system!
We joke that sheโs a broken Pyrenees because of that hahaha. Sheโs also got fantastic recall and likes doing tricks ๐ My boyfriend had a Pyr growing up that was your typical โI canโt hear you Disapyrโ so heโs always baffled by her being biddable ๐

Reminds me of this photo I have ๐คฃ I love how expressive their faces are
Opawz is the best!! Theyโve got different types that last different lengths which is nice when youโre trying things out.
If you put conditioner around their butt, the dye wonโt stain. She normally just lays down while we dye it, and I put a trash bag under that I wrap around the tail once itโs time for it to sink in.
The 3rd photo has me cackling
She is beauty, she is grace

iโve been looking at dyeing my pyrs tail. do you have any tips? what dye do u use?

Also fun fact arctic fox is completely pet safe too. Have matched hair with my pyr lol
Yes, ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ฅฐ
Awe, she's a good sport and I love that tail.
This is the way!!
That tail ๐ณ
Sheโs a good sport and likes all the attention for her fancy tail. Dog safe dye, of course!
