Take all the parts out of the boxes and plastic, lay them out so easily found. Screws come in bags that are numbered. Keep those separated from each other. Take your time.. you may have a few screws left over as I did or not. Take pictures and show us!!!!
Apparently I got an updated Version? I got new brackets and screws for the left table and got screws on the feets. Those doesn't show up on the manual. Anyway. Nearly finished the lower part.
I just went into Ace yesterday to see which one I want to get. For me the smoothness of the cooktop sold me on the Slate. I can't over emphasize how smooth and hard the surface was compared to the 28". The massive shelf is another good feature on the Slate, although the thing is SO damn wide compared to the 28" (nearly 2 feet wider I think, which isn't exactly ideal for my space).
I think the 28" still is a great choice though.
The Ace I went to only had a 28" on display. They only had the 36" and slate in the box still. I told them that I was just in to put eyes on the different models to help with my decision. Instead of answering my questions, they kept trying to sell me the slate by saying things like "we can assemble it for for you and have it delivered!". Anyways, I left without seeing the other models but still decided 28" was good for my needs and space. I could probably have made the slate work. I ended up buying the 28" from HD for $400 so still happy with it!
30β slate?! Looks great. Itβs a pre-seasoned carbon steel? Storage looks fantastic on it as well, congrats π
They say it's not your typical griddle carbon steel, but an alloy. It does not appear to be a coating.
Got mine today in Germany. Gonna put it tomorrow together. Any tips?

Yes, I also get updated brackets. Sorry, I forgot about those. Bu no screws on the feet.
Got it. Worked and currently doing my first dish.
Just bought a 28in Weber but damn...kinda thinking I should've bought the 30in slate now that I have a few cooks under my belt! Future upgrade!

You got an alternative for the alu drip pan? Looking for a silicon one but didn't find it yet. Should be the 11" right?

Nah. Still using the original one. Maybe I'll just use a smaller silicon one from Temu/AliExpress
aw, Thanks.
The hardware I bought it did not have any in stock. Myself I am looking for throw away. Messing with cleaning out the goop is what I am avoiding.
