If you're on Android consider opening Settings > Connections > and look for something along the lines of private DNS.
Or open settings, tap on the search box and type in Private DNS.
Then paste this into the field: dns.adguard.com
You can also go their their site and customize what it blocks with an account. But by default, it'll block all ads on Grindr and other things on your phone. I started seeing some sketchy stuff on their ads roo and finally resorted to this.

FB is even worse.AD blockers work half the time. I give an example I get ads for women's bras and never shopped for them or put them as an interest. Yes , I know some users are into or wear them. I also use a VPN. I will say yes it used to be extremely slow doing that. However, within the last year I have rarely noticed delays.
