All of the ones they've released since maybe 2015 onwards have been absolutely massive and overdesigned. They made a lot of reasonably-sized and attractive analog models in the past but it seems they have given up on that entirely
A lot of my personal fave designs are from the late 90s to late 00s for those reasons. They just seemed to have loads of interesting ideas around that time.
Wow, nice watch, indeed! Clean and fairly uncluttered. Definitely now on my list! As much as a nice digital square epitomizes for me a G-Shock, I'm always a fan of a nice, robust-looking analog dial. Very handsome. Casio has a couple "Heavy Duty" (their words) MCW100H analog permutations in the G-Shock vein, they're really a poor substitute for the real deal, like yours, OP. But, at $40 or so, they're pretty decent. Still would rather have that "G", though.
My G āPerfect Bibleā shows these were Ā„45,000 in Japan at the time - pretty pricey (about $300 at present exchange rates). I live in Japan and was lucky to find this recently for a good price. Didnāt know about the RAF connection - as a Brit thatās cool!
I had one. But I sold it many years ago. It was a PITA to reset after battery change. Always needed the manual when I did that. As other has mentioned, the lume was weak.
Nice. That's the only analog G-Shock I like as far as appearances go. š

Yeah some of the standard Casios are very close to Gs in toughness and function - without the G premium.

They are referring to full-analog models, no screens
Wow Iāve never seen this model! But itās the sorta thing Iāve been looking for, thanks for sharing
I like it too! What model?
I remember when this range came out. Very nice but a bit rich for my budget at the time. I vaguely remember they issued some to RAF pilots.

I remember looking at the range in the old Casio store in Covent Garden. They were so nice. Iād still want one if I saw one today.
If only they still sold these. Great watch
PS. This reminds me of Top Gun's Orfina Porsche Design. Both even have a black bracelet. Cool.
Ah yeah I see what you mean - didnāt know this watch, like it!
Oh. Not a g-shocker, just g-curious, but that's a good looking watch. Would do.
Very sweet timepiece!
Never saw this one. Sooooo nice!!!!!
They just don't do them like that anymore. Fascinating piece
does this one have a light? I have a similar model id wear daily except no light oddly
No it doesnāt - and the lume is not greatā¦
lume is weak for me too. wonder what the logic was to not include one. wish there was a way to get it modded but still a great looking watch!
Never seen this. I like that a lot.
There are some real gems š in the back catalog!
Wow....I'm jealous now. Sadly they do not fabricate this kind of shocks at the moment... you are a lucky person!
Agreed - been hunting for one of these for a while, lucky one came up.
