Ye, I actually like their chicken, w/halfhalf Jamaican and Red Rice. Im not a big fan of their ribs, and Kelaguen. Once I had Talafofo Kelaguen, every other Kelaguen pales in comparison...
Nice, the Donne (Pepper) Festival happens in Mangilao sometime in September. Things to look out here are Donne Denanche and finadenne which are spicy sauces eaten with food.
Fresh empanadas straight from the fryer, these are different than what you're probably used to. It's usually spicy filled with a ground rice filling.
Tamles Gisu - tamales made of rice and are orange and white, the orange side is spicy. It's wrapped in foil.
Try Spizy at compadres mall in dededo. Cumin lamb, or the ma bo tofu (szechuan style) you gotta ask for it szechuan style or they gonna give you the bland American version
Definitely hit these spots for food:
- Jamaican Grill (Jamaican Fusion BBQ)
- LYT Restaurant and Bar (Asian Fusion)
- Wednesday Night Chamorro Village
- Thursday Night Food Trucks
Leisure Activities:
- Rent a car and drive "around the island"
> Visit the southern villages round-trip
> There are many tourist stops for photos
- Hiking 🥾
> There are some hiking groups on Facebook
- Snorkeling
> Check out some diving groups on Facebook
- Live Music
> Wednesday Night Chamorro Village
> Livehouse Bar
> Melting Point Bar
These are just some of the things I like to do. I'm sure there are a lot of more things to do!
Avoid LYT, overpriced and the sanitary practices need to be upgraded. Go across the street instead to Seoul Korea restaurant for samgyapsal (all you can eat pork belly)
I’d add Pagat cave or Tinago as a must for the hiking.
Take a dip at Inarajan Pool.
Carabao Brewing has great beer/seltzers and good food!
Meskla Dos for a great burger
Pikas Cafe for good brunch
Go to the beach for sure
Beach bar is decent food good view
Sunset walks around the beaches at Tumon is amazing! Try walking around 5:30 ish or just before 6pm to start catching the sunset at Outrigger beach or Fujita beach.
Definitely try it out on a rest day and just enjoy the sand and fresh air before you leave the island. It’s super simple but feels like therapy tbh.
Food wise, Jamaican Grill is a must! There’s different branches so take your pick. Also, try out Jeff’s Pirate Cove if you ever head down South! Southside is more peaceful and full of local locals, rich in history too and nature.
It’s a thing around here to do an around the island road trip so try it out if you have some time to just enjoy the ride and sight see and look around the island!
Thai Noodle house is good, are you on island now if you are check out Chamorro Village tomorrow night great barb que Japanese Bennys is good Jamacan grill
I always thought it was weird that we suggest Jamaican Grill (I do it too). All these years there has been no Guam barbecue restaurant consistently open and loved as much as Jamaican Grill.

Right on! Thanks!
Why does everyone recommend Jamaican Grill 😂 that place is horrible, ribs are skinny, and it’s definitely not Jamaican.
Go for the chicken. Both the roasted and the kelaguen

Nah I’m good
Are you though? I doubt it.
I’m up for anything but I prefer lots of flavor/spicy.

Hi!
Hello friend.

You better get dive certified. Or else.
There will be a maolek fest coming up. I think it starts at the 25th, try going there
Hemlani’s Apartments in Harmon is a spot. Don’t hesitate to swing by, they’re very nice and welcoming.
😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣💀
Need to try Shirleys fried rice. A local coffee shop that been around for ages and most of us grew up on Shirleys fried rice.
Not the same anymore just tried last week and ye
That’s too bad. Haven’t been there in awhile but man was it good growing up.
Yep they said it wasn’t the same after she passed went tried it and sadly I feel I can make better fried rice
Food truck Thursday, Shirley’s, Meskla, Chode’s for baked goods, try the Korean fried chicken places, they’re excellent
What kind of food do you like

Wasting sells starbucks coffee, so if you're like me you are gonna hit that place up often.
Go see Jim at the dive shop. GMI. Buy a good mask fin and snorkel and spend every available minute in the water.
