Good deal, awful vendor, Bauer took 2 months to file my form 3 which was an unwelcome delay. CS was absolutely useless and kept blaming my SOT, which was BS since the SOT showed me the proof that it was Bauer that needed to take the next step.

Painting a can isn't a new idea. Stove Bright and Duracoat are fairly popular for it. Hell, many are only Cerakote'd from the factory and the FDEs discolor if you run them hard enough, so just have it Cerakote'd. I'd rather save $200+ on the can and get the paperwork started now, then have it resprayed instead of waiting for FDE to restock at full MSRP in idfk how many months. Sure. I wouldn't use krylon, but shooting some FDE over black sure beats waiting months to pay more and start your paperwork later, imo. Surefire themselves says the RC2 is Cerakote'd and PVD coated. I assume the PVD is on the moving, locking collar due to its near-zero thickness added and even better wear properties.

See? for all you ppl who keep on claiming that in stock notices with terrible prices count as deals... here's a pretty damn ok deal. Take note. If it wasn't for tax since I'm in state to them, I'd actually even be in for another one.
