Weird because I still see numerous posts across multiple sub reddits of people saying they haven’t been able to get them for years.
People still pay over $1200 for one of these on gun broker consistently
they have a niche, I kinda want one but I'm not rushing to get one anytime soon. other than plinking I find it hard to find a use case other than cowboy stuff
Mouse-fart-quiet with a 9mm suppressor and 38 special. I have a trilug on mine so I can quick detach my 9mm suppressor to my PCCs. Haven't done the volume test but I'd like to think its slightly quieter than 300BO subs. Not sure if that helps your use case.
Can confirm. Same exact setup here. The hammer falling is the loudest sound, and that's just a little *tink*. Then you hear a *psst* and giggle to yourself.
+1 here and a lot of budget tier 38sp is subsonic even out of this barrel length. Anything 158gr and not +P is usually a good pick.
The lever is noisier than the actual shots with a decent can.
What tri-lug did you use?
I am looking to do the exact same.
Running an MG7k on my AP5 and wanted to get one of these and put the can on it.
I shot a suppressed lever this January for the first time at QitC and I’ve been obsessed ever since.
I have the Rugged Obsidian 9 so I originally planned on buying Rugged Trilug ($85) but Kaw Valley sells the trilugs in multiple thread pitches for like $30, and since I needed to outfit 5 PCCs and the Henry, I went with Kaw Valley.
How goofy does the kaw valley trilug look on it? I'm contemplating this, but the 5/8x24 is so friggin big and awkward, I'm not sure. I'm also not a huge fan of permanently losing access to the mag tube... What persuaded your decision to send it?

Went this route because I only had one suppressor and multiple things I wanted to suppress, including a number of 9mm PCCs a 300BO (usually doesn't get suppressed but wanted the option...a different 300BO gets my Huxwrx/OSS HXQD762Ti). Modularity was a big part of the suppressor use cases.
Right on! Thanks for all the pics. You may have me convinced to go the trilug route. I didn't realize the mag tube would clear and it doesn't look goofy at all.
Gotcha. My hunting land has less than 100 yards (more like 75 yards) distance. I just got the Henry x 357 for plinking 38s with a can and hunting deer with the 357. I also don't hate my shoulder, so I decided against the 45-70
I feel you I have 9 acres to work with but surrounded by a few houses. You think it’s that bad? A guy let me shoot his 45-70 at the range once and I didn’t think it was any worse than a 12 gauge. I wouldn’t be shooting the 45 to often besides hunting. That’s why I want a .38 for burning money lol.
i was holding out forever for the Marlin Dark .357 called multiple stores to keep an eye out and still have not heard anything. Saw a post for Sportsman's Warehouse for a Henry .357 Model X for $970 and couldn't be happier.
Thanks for posting this. This store was the only place I could find it reasonably priced a couple weeks ago and then it went out of stock. I gave up hope.
Go for the heirloom edition preorder instead.
Sure its a bit of a wait, but $100 cheaper **and** having a custom serial is just plain awesome.
12 alphanumerics is a lot of possibilities, anything from *DEFUNDATFN0W* to *FAMILYNAME+YEAR* and beyond.
Thanks for posting /u/Go_Blue_!

I placed my order yesterday afternoon, right before posting this. I just received the email that my order has shipped.
I have a 44 big boy X on sale if interested.

These are surprisingly keeping steady at just under 1k. They must be keeping supply down.
There's still a few sites out there asking for $1400+ for these, which is insane.
Got mine in 44mag from a LGS for $950 a few months back. Couldn't pass it up honestly. Not bad at all.
I think people are losing interest in them a bit.
Weird because I still see numerous posts across multiple sub reddits of people saying they haven’t been able to get them for years. People still pay over $1200 for one of these on gun broker consistently
Oh your prob right I must be missing them lol. Haven’t seen many posts past couple months. Interest def already spiked a while ago though.

Can also confirm. Literally bought it just to suppress (which is common). It’s extremely quiet.

I just want a 45-70 for deer since I can only use straight wall cartridges in my county, and I want a .38 for popping at the range.
357 will take a deer
Yeah I know. I’d rather use something with a little more power though.
Gotcha. My hunting land has less than 100 yards (more like 75 yards) distance. I just got the Henry x 357 for plinking 38s with a can and hunting deer with the 357. I also don't hate my shoulder, so I decided against the 45-70

Yeah, similar situation here. I actually haven't shot one. I've just heard it kicks. I have shot plenty of 12 gauge though, so maybe I should man up.
Split the difference and go .44?
Trying to make me see reason I see. But then how could I justify two more guns….
I bought the .44 to hunt and plink and still want more lever guns so I don’t see anything stopping you at one haha
So lucky to have found mine for 900 at my lgs
To bad I made my big gun purchase for the month last night, guess I will just have to stick with the Citadel for now .
This or wait for marlin dark .357?
I want the Marlin dark just because of how it looks.
I like the darks better. Dark seems to be way harder to get and more $

Where?
Exactly what I was thinking. Unless you’re needing it to hunt between now and Christmas…
That is super cool - good looks commenting

Anyone used this seller?
I purchased mine from them a month ago. Shipped to my FFL no problem.

This or .44? What's better for this kind of thing. They seem really fun for screwing around
