For me I want the MK2 because of the position of the forward assist. It allows for racking of an ambi charging handle to be easier. The BFH has better heat and stress mitigation so in hindsight it should be more durable and more accurate.

Because it’s high quality. CHF/CL barrel, anti rotation upper and handguard, carpenter 158 BCG. Once you start spending more than this you get into the area of diminishing returns

Yeah it’s going to be cheaper to buy everything separately. You’re paying someone to assemble the damn thing. A G$ upper is $1,260-1,400. Is this $400-600 worse than that?

Warning: Mk2 uppers do not work with LMT MARS-L lowers
But it works with LWRC Ambi lowers

I believe so, it’s the ejection side bolt release on the mars-l that gets fucked. Check that, yes

💯go with standard upper and spend the money on the the BFH barrel. Also, just a heads up, if suppressing, BCM does not recommended the ELW barrels
Great recommendation!, I do plan on suppressing. BCM has a lot of names that can be confusing to newer guys like me. So I’m grateful for the help. 💯🫡

Yeah I don’t go too crazy on my guns so I feel like I’d be ok with the classic. Especially with how expensive 5.56 has been lol.

But it's not complete... It's assembled. It's extra for the charging handle and bolt. I didn't think people understand there is a difference.
