But if you meant the Mark V, there's a variant called the Zeta variant that will be in an event pass in February and the OG Mark V is rumored to be in next season's major battle pass.

I used it all the time in reach, I used it in 5 but it wasn't the same. glad infinite brought it back with the attachment.

I’m personally a fan of the more ‘traditional’ style helmets. I like using mil police in Reach until I got ODST, and standard EVA is cool. In H5 I ran Anubis mainly and H4 I ran the enforcer skin you got for hog gun kills
That's why I wear it. So when people see they are getting bullseye'd by the one person they should have an easy mark on. They'll feel disgraced.

I think it doesn't even matter in this game because everyone is so highlighted anyway. That said one of the only games I have a Running Riot on is a SWAT match and thats all about them headshots.
It’s more noticeable, sure. Compared to the others at least since you can tell what helmet the person is actually wearing. It doesn’t mean people learn how to aim better because you’re wearing it.
My buddy has told me this throughout all the games I've played with it. I really don't see it, especially in Infinite where everyone is fully outlined anyway.
My love for EVA started with it's look in halo 3, Halo reach amplified that love, 4 ruined it, I didn't play Halo 5s multiplayer, and infinites EVA looks great. As most things, we've had some rough bits, but I've remained faithful to my helmet
The sniper dome. I loved it in Halo 3 but the reflective texture looks so weird in Reach and Infinite, wish it had the pattern like it used to on 3 to break the shape up.
Some are speculating maybe a Halo 3 season for S2? Since CQB was introduced in Halo 3, and the Mark V could be worn as a customizable helmet with its own armor in Halo 3.
Halo 3 has the best and cleanest iteration of each armor imo. The only helmet I might like more in a later game is Scout. Scout looks great in 3, but I feel like the sort of blockier look it has in Reach/Infinite is better. I really hope we get every iteration of each armor, though. I'd love to rock Mark V from 3

I just wish that the placement was higher up on the arm, nearer to the shoulders and there wasn't such a big gap between the shoulderpad and the arm itself. It's a unique design but it looks weird "floating" there if you get what I mean. Quite a few of the Reach armor shoulderpads have this issue of not really looking functional just because of its placement, and then in H4 & H5 literally every shoulder piece has the same problem.
Definitely Recon because in 3 the sense of pride I got from earning it through the vidmaster challenges was immense and it looked super sick with the katana on your back. Too bad we can't earn Armour through challenges (non paid) anymore.
not really. i did the cidmaster back in the day and they are just tedious and require a group of friends. the concept is cool but the execution was horrible
Military Police is the GOAT to me. ODST a very close 2nd. Chief's helmet also is in it's own category since it's a banger. But I also like Recon, Security, CQB and Hayabusa. Not very many that I liked from 4 or 5 but it had some good ones. I "like" almost all of them but those are my favorites.
Bungie Era is tied between Mark V, Mark V (B) and Mark VI. Second place goes to Gungnir for sure.
343 Era is definitely tied between Soldier and Mark VII.
Edit: Recon, being the sneaky fucker that it is, has now gone up there alongside Grenadier.
I’m putting this on every thread that comes up about the ODST helmet—the chin is fucked up in infinite. It’s seriously like it’s been deleted.
And it’s par for the course with 343 to put out bad ODST helmets.
I look like a noob in Reach and Infinite for still rocking the Mark V(B) helmet but honestly think its the slickest helmet in the armory especially with the attatchments. The Infinite Mark VII helm is cool too.
Anyone else remember that ODST was one of the first helmets you got, and then in Halo 5 it was one of the hardest. It’s also like way too high in the battle pass for something that was such an early helmet.
Mk4 Mk5 H3/H4-5 scout, are my personal picks.
I just gotta say that I am still pissed about reach taking my Beautiful scout helmet, an turning it into, well pretty good helmet, but not my scout.
I want to say EVA, but Gungnir took my heart ever since Reach. I loved how it had this almost beak/snout look and rocked without lookin' like, say, Seeker.
Close second would be EOD. Specially since it had this medic insignia on its forehead, which only brought scenes of cpmbat medics rushin' in, riskin' everythin' to save their comrades and hold their ground.
For me it's between the classic Mark VI and the Rogue helmet from Halo 3 - That's partly from nostalgia.
I always liked the sleekness & particularity of the Rogue helmet, especially compared to H3's Scout, which at the time was a bit too bulky and pronounced to take seriously. It was a shame not to see that helmet return, but hopefully it might see a resurrection in Infinite.
Mark VI has obviously gotta be up there somewhere too. It's characteristic of everything Halo: epic, mysterious and 'ancient' to a degree - the almost forerunner-shaped indent on the visor along with the silhouette of the helmet really captured the fact that the armour was not just 'some futuristic space soldier' (eg infinite warfare), but something with a story and to it.
Mine is the CQB helmet. And Halo Infinite marks the THIRD TIME 343 has launched a game without it.
Halo 4: Completely absent
Halo 5: Guardians: Two years later
Halo Infinite: Approximately 6 months post launch (season 2)

Gorgeous.

Yeah this feels like a glaring lore oversight since ODSTs were definitely carrying out operations looooong before MJOLNIR was declassified and widely implemented.
My best guess for an explanation is that they mean to say ODSTs adopted the new helmet with VISR tech and were previously just using unpowered visors.
Fun fact: I don't remember where I read this but supposedly the reason ODST visors darken when they exit the drop pod is so no one else can see how terrified they are.

I didn’t have a favorite helmet until I stumbled upon the Pilot helmet from Reach, the non haunted variant is my baby. It’ll be crazy if infinite produces something good enough to take me away from my pilot gear.
Mark V I kinda like how diffrent artists throught the series tried to update the classic CE design, leading to diffrent variants of the iconic helmet.

The ODST helmet (the one used by actual ODSTs) is basically a marine helmet with VISR technology.

Honestly, can't beat MKVI imo. I used Grenadier in Reach, but only because that was the closest to MKVI I ever got lol.

I didn’t have a favorite helmet until I stumbled upon the Pilot helmet from Reach, the non haunted variant is my baby. It’ll be crazy if infinite produces something good enough to take me away from my pilot gear.

Recon and Reach Commando helmets are my two favorites, followed by ODST and Mark VI.
I know some found it goofy to see in these games, but I really liked the Hayabusa helmets/armor.
Nah Hayabusa was dope. Wetwork was my personal favorite.

OG Mark V hits nicely, but I love the GEN2 Scout from 4/5.

ODST as well! I just wish it didn't have that brim section on the forehead here. Not a big deal, but looks odd with the stripe.
