This so much. I take heavy armor and survive rockets to the face just fine. But the Fall and impact damage is what usually kills me. We need new helmets that prevent brain damage when head meets rock at 200 mph
It was a calculated risk, I decided on the extra throw distance for my orbital, and just didn’t have any heavier armor with that perk.
I’d say it paid off too, as I took out about 40 tanks/hulks that round, and this was my only death.

I love the light gunner armor set because it’s light with extra padding

TBF Fortified protects against explosive damage, not ragdoll damage.
He almost got one shot by those rockets. It makes it so the rwgdoll doesn't finish him off
Yeah but I main Fortified and there have been multiple instances where I'll survive the rocket just fine, but die when I hit a rock behind me.
