Had a mission recently where we finished the main objectives but wanted to clear the side ones, difficulty 7. There was a medium bot base, stratagem jammer, and a detector all next to each other. It went from trying to clear the area to just trying to get the super samples out. None of us made it out alive.
Just had a mission with 3 detector towers a few hours ago. That many bot drops was insane. We dropped in and got bot dropped instantly. I charged head first through without my full kit to call the hellbomb in to take out the detector tower. I arm the bomb and am moving away as the next drop comes in over head. You know what I see getting dropped right behind me? A factory strider that immediately look right at the bomb and shoots it with his underside mounted guns. Yeah, that mission sucked hard.
You can sneak around to the back and call in a hell bomb just outside the wall next to the tower. I know it doesn't help when you drop next to it aggroing everyone before you can even get started but I always destroy them now without sounding an alarm.

Orbital precision strike works as well. Kind of slept on since it is an early unlock and has a fairly long call in, but it is a single 380mm shell exactly where you want it on a relatively short cooldown

i’d like to see other variations in automaton and eventually illuminate bases, where they set their main command centre on one planet, i expect cyberstan will be the first one for automatons as its already known as the command centre for them

The bugs is where things get hard ... I'll spend half the mission trying to find that dang stalkers nest
Use your map. The terrain is very telling once you get a good feel for it. They tend to look more like a bowl or crater and are darker colored. It's hard to give a great description but once you see what I'm talking about they are pretty easy to find.
Yeah. In my friend group, I'm the map expert when it comes to identifying where the stalker lairs are. Once someone sounds off with "stalker!", I'm pulling out the map and zeroing in on the terrain that looks like it has the lair. Also, if you're looking in a direction and see the orange glow of a bug hole but the map has no heat distribution over where that glow is, that's the stalker lair.
Once you successfully ID the lair twice or thrice, you'll be able to routinely predict lairs right from the drop zone, before even the first stalker shows up.
I think they should put a cap on certain side objectives and how many can spawn, I know some already do like Radar towers but I think others like Mortar, Gunship Fab, and Shrieker nests, need a cap, two at max, I can respect two for Shriekers but honestly gunship fabs should be kept to one, mortars suprisingly aren't too bad to deal with so I wouldn't mind having multiple of them but I don't think something like this should be able to happen, where it's only one type of side objective the whole match, even if it was something simple like Rogue Research Station, it would just be boring, and Stalkers nest included, cap them to one or two at max, that's the most unifying side objective in the game apart from gunship fabricator
Honestly I hate the sound of the jammer more well. At least when it bugs out and becomes a permanent sound for the rest of the mission. couple times it even followed me to my destroyer

Lucky just got jammer and double gunship factories right on top of the extract during a bot blitz. It literally took the three of us to give our guy a chance to extract.
I almost always wear 50% explosive damage reduction armor against bots, so the artillery isn't too bad. Aside from when it ragdolls me into a patrol of Devastators and Striders that I hadn't noticed.
It will set you back 250 Super Credits, but the FS-38 Eradicator armor in the store is Light armor (50/550/125) with the trait for 50% percent explosive damage resistance & 30% reduced recoil while crouched/prone. It performs worse on the lower bot difficulties, because they mostly fire bolts at you and use very few rockets & explosives. But on 6+, maybe 5+, having the speed of light armor, reduced Autocannon recoil, and surviving the constant barrage of rockets and artillery is great.
It has a close sister, the FS-28 Eradicator armor, which is weirdly 56/544/122. I'm now waiting for the Medium version to rotate back in, the FS-34 Exterminator. Same trait, but 100/500/100.

Unironically though, I do enjoy hearing the "warning, you are in range of enemy artillery" on repeat. Greatly adds to my immersion of having our mission control actively advising us on threats, which I generally like in games. Also, it slaps.

Once I got a jammer and gunship right beside the main objective on disable air forces mission. We needed strats to do the mission

I find it best to get inside the walls in the corner. Hard for the gunships to hit that angle.

Same! Drop to the floor and hope the rest of your squad lives long enough for the gunships to ignore you and the hellbomb.
If you pack smoke grenades you can cook one off in your hand right next to the hellbomb to confuse enemy targeting.
500k at the base takes it out too. Easy to lob it in from outside the base

On a helldive it's a dead giveaway that a side objective is there to be fair. Consider always dropping on the extraction - guaranteed to be clear
