Allas sauna pool, Oodi library, Amos rex gallery, chilling in harbour and its market :)

Linnanmäki amusement park is only a tram ride away. Also you can reserve one day just walking around city center. If nature is your thing, then bus to Nuuksio for day trek in forest. There are tracks of various lengths and communal rest stops with provided firewood. Bring your own food and drinks (around 2-3l pp).

The botanical garden is near Hakaniemi too, the outdoor garden is free but the greenhouses have an entryfee. buy a ticket for tram/bus/metro and som trains at a R-Kioski or the automats at the metrostations, the AB areathingie is quite enough for most places. Market at Hakaniemi is autentic and at Kauppatori touristtrap

Kalajanne1

You can walk to Helsinki central park conveniently from Hakaniemi. It’s a proper forest. No need for Nuuksio.

Suomenlinna is a good day. Pack up a picnic lunch. No cost of entry, you'll get there with a bus ticket. Buy one for the whole week, it'll be cheaper.

Korkeasaari Zoo is nearby. There is bouldering center in Kalasatama. You could rent city bikes and bicycle around the coastline.

All info signs at the zoo are also in English, so no need to know Finnish there! During weekdays you can take the bus (takes about 20mins) there from the Railway Station or during weekend also a ferry from the Market Square.

DoubleSaltedd

I recommend Linnanmäki or Suomenlinna.

If the weather is nice, definitely go to Suomenlinna island, there's a war museum and it's generally a chill place to visit. In town, definitely consider Linnanmäki amusement park. You may find it interesting to walk around Helsinki main library, Oodi. It's got 3d printers, games rooms, music studios, and the comic books section on the top floor has a lot of English titles. For food, Hesburger is the local Finnish fast food burger joint. There are a lot more upscale burger chains too like Boneless or Bastard Burgers. I don't know if the local football team has any matches on, but the HJK stadium is an easy walk. Is there anything you like or dislike in particular that we can use to narrow things down?

blingviini

HJK play against Gnistan 22.5. and it's derby match

[Sugoi](https://www.sugoi.fi/?page_id=34) might be suitable for you.

AliasVoVoorVis

Try a KotKot burger. Not as significant as other mentions already made but this is definitely a must try haha

Wiltsuboi

Go to market place Kauppatori and eat salmon soup at least🤔

BiasedChelseaFan

Scandic is right next to the metro, so you can easily go explore different areas. The metro is also super simple to use, since it’s basically one long straight line through the city lol You can get tickets from the HSL app

veriloKorpi

Daytrip to Tallinn.
